iPhone — the Editor turns with the phone • Rotate while you work. The Editor follows the phone between portrait and landscape in every module — Metadata, Crop, Tone, Deliver and History — and returns to the layout you left. • Landscape makes room for the Dynamic Island. The filename, Done, the module bar and the panel controls all sit clear of the camera housing and the rounded corners. A send tells you it ran. Files, Photos and Share now show a chip when the delivery finishes, such as "5 saved to Photos", so you know it went. Presets remember their Files folder. Choose a folder once in a Files delivery preset and every send with that preset goes there, with no picker each time. Send to Last Destination follows the preset. The button names the preset's folder or server, and sends to it straight from the gallery. Captions travel with every photo in a batch. Select a group of photos and deliver them, and each one leaves with its own caption. Vertical RAW photos arrive vertical. A portrait RAW delivered as a JPEG opens upright everywhere.

• The left rail opens folders; it never deletes them. A folder can come off the list without disturbing the photographs inside. Files are removed where you can see them: select them in the gallery and slide to confirm. • Deleting photographs asks first, in red. The Delete control, a photo's context menu and the Delete key all bring up the same red slide-to-confirm — a tap alone removes nothing. Protected photographs are skipped. • A folder or files you move out in the Files app arrive as missing. Open the app again and the catalog has caught up: a folder you cleared is off the rail and its photographs are out of the gallery. • One sidebar button. The gallery toolbar carries a single control to bring the sidebar back. • An import shows its progress with the folder it's filling — starting a card import opens the destination with its name at the top of the gallery and the copy's progress bar right beside it, counting off the frames as they land. Importing from Photos reads the same. • Tone on the selection bar — select several photos and tap Tone to copy one photo's tone, paste it onto the whole selection, apply one of your tone presets, or reset them. Undo takes back the whole change in one tap. • Adjust a selection's tone with the grid in view — Adjust Tone opens a panel beside the grid showing the first selected photo. Let go of a slider and every selected thumbnail redraws as it will look, each with its own white balance and crop. An orange PREVIEW label marks a thumbnail that hasn't been applied yet; Apply to all of them writes it, and Cancel sets it aside. • A gallery reopens with the sort you left it on — order, direction and thumbnail size are remembered per folder. • The save-copy folder you choose is the folder that gets the copy. Picking a folder for copies of uploaded files sticks, and the copy of each sent frame is written there.

Deadline Editor 1.0.98 • Batch sends keep your edits and captions — sending several frames from the gallery, or with Quick Deliver, carries each frame's crop and its captions, ratings and other metadata, whether or not you opened it in the editor. • Cropping keeps up with you — the crop box holds the drag you give it and applies to the frame you are on, its handles answer at the edges, the size readout shows the file's true pixels, and a vertical frame's crop arrives in Camera Raw the right way up. • The module panel stays clear of the picture — the crop and tone controls sit in their own column instead of over the right edge of the photograph. • The gallery's filter holds — JPEG/HEIF Only and the other filters stay applied after a folder reloads. In RAW + JPEG mode the chip names the half a tile stands for, and the editor opens that half with its toggle still there. • Remove from List leaves your files alone — taking a bookmarked folder out of the app keeps every original and every edited frame where it sits. • A tether configuration survives an app update — a saved camera setup is read back even after the app gains a new setting. • Upload says why it is unavailable — while a delivery is running the Deliver panel names it and offers Cancel, so a greyed-out Upload is never a dead end. • Help explains the marks on a thumbnail — a Thumbnail Badges topic walks a gallery tile: the status badges, RAW + JPEG pairs, voice tags, batch IDs, the corner pills and the borders.

**Shoot Track.** A new Location section in the sidebar shows where you have been working: your route on a map, a pin for every photograph, and the time and position of each frame. Export a session as a GPX file for Lightroom or Photo Mechanic, or share a picture of the map. - **RAW frames carry their location.** A frame arriving from a tethered camera is written with the position it was taken at, RAW included — the coordinates go into its XMP sidecar, so they travel with the file and read back anywhere. - **Frames imported from a card are placed too.** Import hours after the shoot and each frame takes the position it was taken at from your shoot track, matched on its own capture time. A camera's own GPS always wins where a body records one. - **Track without a tether.** Start recording from the Shoot Track screen for a walk round a venue or a day on assignment, and choose how finely it records — venue level, or the route you walked. Tracks are kept on the iPad only, are never uploaded, and are deleted on a schedule you set. - **View on Map.** Any photograph carrying a position gets a map link at the top of its EXIF panel. - **Sign in with Apple comes first**, above the email and password fields, and opens a Deadline account from your Apple ID alone — nothing to type, no password to choose. Signing in to an account without a subscription offers you one. - **Every tether at once.** USB, network and camera FTP receive together, so a second body waits for nothing. - **Bring over only what you tagged.** Mark frames on a Sony body and the tether pulls those alone, and they arrive tagged. - **Two fingers on the trackpad** move between frames over the photo, and ⌘. closes the editor. - **Event reaches the wire desk** in the form an ingest reads, so it survives the trip. - **Quick Text sources arrive complete**, including rosters exported from codereplacements.com.

- **Edit a whole selection at once** — select several frames in the gallery and open the metadata panel over them. Apply a template or type into any field, then Apply: only the fields you touched are written, and per-frame variables like `$city` resolve against each frame. Assign Job IDs gives every selected frame its own transmission reference, and Rename runs a pattern with `$seq` down the selection in display order. - **One XMP and Pinned Fields editor** — name a template, order its fields, set the colour and rating rule, and edit each field's validation rule in a single sheet with Values and Field Order tabs, reached with ⌥⌘T and ⌥⌘P. - **Find and Replace** — search every field, and the whole XMP packet, across a folder (⇧⌘F), and replace matches in one pass. - **Separate by Camera** — a camera strip filters the gallery to one body's frames, named from your roster (⌥S). - **Quick Deliver** — send the selection straight to your last destination (⌥⇧D). - **Folder management** — a native folder list in the sidebar; delete a folder and its frames, and empty folders are cleaned up. - **Secure FTP delivery** — FTPS/FTPES (explicit, port 21) and implicit FTPS (990) alongside FTP and SFTP. When the device doesn't trust a server's certificate, Test Connection shows it and can pin the server's key; the pin travels with the site to your other devices. - **A keyboard that matches the Mac** — Space looks closer, \\ for before/after, ⌘C/⌘V copy and paste what the panel in front of you edits (metadata, tone, crop, or spots), and ⌥ carries metadata and tone together. Spots and white balance copy and paste, Card Import is ⇧⌘I, and every shortcut can be rebound. - **Gallery and editor touch-ups** — Space for Quick Look, pan and loupe on a zoomed frame, and a tap takes the caret out of a field. - **Card Import** — each card has its own Eject, and the RAW filter says what it is. - **FTP delivery** — an upload rides out a change in network rather than failing, and a server that stops answering ends the attempt so a stalled delivery can be cancelled. - **Faster deliveries** — a delivery at a set size renders faster, with the same pixels. - **iPad import and export** — import a template from a file, and a delivery with Toning off keeps the crop. ** FTP Tests include test upload option. ** XMP Field scan be set to be 2 column wide -**Crop tool bar on MetaData and Tone Tab, replacea crop tab. -Editor UI enhancements, with larger Color/Ratings set icons

iPad editor Return goes to the Caption: with no field selected, Return puts the caret in the Caption, at %%cursor if the text has one, otherwise at the start. Esc: turns Spot Removal off if it's on; otherwise it saves and closes, as on the Mac. Tapping the photo takes the caret out of a text field. Zoom: you can pan a zoomed frame, and a touch loupe is added. Quick Text: the caret lands after the inserted phrase. One meaning per key, matching the Mac ⌘C / ⌘V copy and paste whatever the open panel edits: tone and crop separately, and spots too. Pasting a crop never removes an existing one. Space held down takes a closer look; \ shows before/after; ⌥ also carries metadata and tone. Pasting in the gallery can be undone with ⌘Z. Metadata undo: each metadata save is recorded, so undo can restore those fields. Gallery and folders Space opens Quick Look, with the tag flash shown on the preview. Sidebar folders: a native folder list, deleting folders (empty or not), and cleanup of empty folders. Rename $seq numbers follow the grid, top to bottom. A batch renamed onto its own names now completes. FTP delivery Uploads work with more FTP servers. The iPad reads a server's full reply even when it arrives in pieces or spans several lines. It falls back to extended passive mode (EPSV) when plain passive mode is refused. When a server gives a blank 0.0.0.0 address for the data connection, it uses the address it's already connected to instead. Failed uploads say why. The error includes the server's own replies, not just "Failed to enter passive mode." A server log for support. The first upload of a delivery and every failure record the full exchange with the server, with the username and password hidden. Network Diagnostic Intercepted Secure FTP is flagged. If the network re-signs the connection with a certificate the iPad doesn't trust, the Secure FTP row no longer shows green. It reads "TLS is being intercepted," which matches the certificate check lower in the same report. Export Delivery sizing is now part of the same rendering pass as the edits, and each file logs how long each export stage took.

Voice tags now translate against an ordinary roster — team detection reads the prefixes out of your own Quick Text keys instead of requiring a bare one-letter entry, so an h01/v01-style sheet resolves players and jersey numbers. Voice tags spoken on an iPad and on a Mac now produce the same caption, because both apps share one matcher. A team name spoken with a possessive or punctuation — "Unicorn's 12", "H-24" — now matches the roster instead of landing in the caption as literal text. When two players share a jersey number, Person In Image lists them in roster order rather than reversed. Voice tags can write the spoken code to the batch ID, with a toggle for it in Transcription settings. The Quick Text auto-fill switch and the home/visitor roster prefixes now take effect everywhere and sync through iCloud A template's colour code now honours its condition — "protected in camera", "rated in camera" — on every path a photo arrives through, not just card import. Signing out of Deadline no longer swaps your pinned-field presets and other registries for an old, unrelated set. An iCloud sync that failed to read a file can no longer delete records that only this iPad holds. The Quick Text caret chip now reads "%%cursor in use", naming the token you type rather than the mechanism behind it. Support reports carry more of what matters: voice-tag matching, registry namespaces and failed syncs now say what happened.
