Learn German grammar by playing!
DEtris is a visual learning game for German grammar. The game teaches sentence structure using colors and pattern recognition. You get an English sentence. German words drop from the top. Slide each one into its color zone: yellow for the subject, green for the verb, blue for the object. Lock it in before it lands. Complete the sentence and it clears.
Why DEtris?
Word order and articles are what trip up most German learners. DEtris drills both without a single grammar table. Instead of memorizing rules, you place words under time pressure until the pattern starts to feel obvious.
Inside DEtris:
- A four-step tutorial before your first game
- 210 sentences with changing word and article options, so no two runs play out the same
- Speed rises every ten sentences, capped so it never becomes unplayable
- Streak multiplier with its own color ladder
- Three lives per run and a high score to beat
- Eight background tracks you can switch any time
- Sound, haptics and ghost piece, each toggled separately
DEtris works fully offline. No sign-up, no ads, no tracking, no analytics. Nothing you do leaves your device.
Built for A1 and A2 learners and for players who just want a puzzle with something inside it.
