3.1.0 hace 3 días
Watch List is now easier to navigate — the tab has a cleaner label and updated icons that are easier to read at a glance. Favourite Mechanics shortcuts now appear on the Dashboard so you can switch your mechanic in focus with a single tap. The Escalators tab has a new custom escalator icon and a cleaner empty state. The Helper Log now counts helpers correctly regardless of how their name is capitalized. Minor polish throughout.
3.0.9 hace 4 días
Service record cards now show a color-coded stripe by type (maintenance, callback, sold work, and more) so your daily list is scannable at a glance.
The Hours tab now shows a helpful message when there are no records for the selected time period, with a spring animation on entry.
Bug fixes: the Done button on a new service record now warns you before leaving if no service type has been selected. Key photo picker in escalator details no longer freezes after typing.
3.0.8 hace 5 días
Escalator Key tracking — Record the key code for each unit along with up to two reference photos of the physical key. Keys are organized by manufacturer and automatically carry over to other units in the same building.
Helper Log report — New PDF in Settings showing a full 12-month timeline of helper assignments, including date ranges, no-helper days, and a count of unique helpers.
Import documents from OneDrive — Tap Share in the OneDrive app (or any other app) and choose "Open in Escalator Field Command" to send PDFs and Word files directly into your Documents tab.
Bug fixes and reliability improvements.
3.0.7 hace 6 días
Added a Community section in Settings with quick links to the Counterweight newsletter, the Escalift community forum, and escalift.io — stay connected to the trade without leaving the app.
Cleaned up the Year Progress section on the Cat1 Metrics PDF — removed the Days Elapsed, Days Remaining, and Year Elapsed stat boxes for a cleaner report layout.
3.0.6 8 jun
New: Try the app free for 30 days — no card required. After your trial, you can keep viewing and exporting everything; editing requires Premium.
Improvements:
• Cleaner Settings with one-tap Submit a Bug / Suggest a Feature / Rate buttons.
• Maintenance dashboard now distinguishes "All done" from "Nothing urgent" — and gives you a 5-working-day heads-up on scheduled work.
• Cat 1 Metrics PDF now includes a Year Progress section showing how your completion pace compares to the calendar.
• Various polish: amber Service Record banner, dashboard pickup list with check-then-Done, off-route service records flagged on the Hours tab.
3.0.5 6 jun
• Docs tab now defaults to a heat-map view — most-opened files at the top in red, fading down through orange and yellow to cool blue at the bottom. Each card glows in its position color and fades to the right. The "Size" sort is gone.
• Pickup list on the dashboard is now two-step: tap an item to check it (it stays visible with a green check + strikethrough), then press "Done" to remove the batch. "Undo" restores the last removal. No more accidental tap-and-it's-gone.
• Hours tab — service records logged on another mechanic's unit now get a thin amber border and a small "⇄ Steve Anderson's unit" caption, so off-route work stands out at a glance.
• The amber "SERVICE RECORD" banner at the top of the Service Record screens is now strongly visible (was barely showing through on real device screens).
• "Non-Billable Service" service type renamed to "Service Work" everywhere.
3.0.4 30 may
• Fixed scrolling on the Hours "Today" list — up/down swipes now respond on the first try instead of needing several attempts.
• Typing in description/notes fields feels less cramped — more room above the keyboard and a "Done" button to dismiss it.
• OFF ROUTE service records now default the responding mechanic to whoever's in focus, not the unit's route owner.
• Service Record banner is now brighter amber to match the green Time Ticket banner.
3.0.3 29 may
Quality-of-life polish across Hours, Docs, the dashboard, and Service Records.
• Hours tab is more responsive: tapping the dimmed area reliably closes the stepper, the speed-dial buttons have more breathing room, and the unit banner on Service Records now opens the escalator's detail page.
• Docs tab: new "Hottest" sort highlights your most-used documents with a heat-map color stripe.
• Dashboard: "All caught up" tile appears when there's no maintenance due, instead of an empty slot. Sample pickup list now seeds with Gloves, Oil pads, and TKE comb bolts.
• Escalator detail: Maintenance Schedule now sits with the other narrative fields, just above Notes.
• Region picker (settings + onboarding) explains what region affects, with a one-tap email link to request your region if it's not listed.
• Various copy polish across Settings and the subscription screen.
3.0.2 28 may
Onboarding is much friendlier for new users. After clearing sample data (or on a first install), the app drops you straight onto the Escalators tab with a clearer "Add your first escalator" prompt and an enlarged note about which fields are required. The other tabs (Dashboard, Cat 1, Monitoring, Documents, Hours) stay dimmed until you've added at least one unit, so you're not staring at empty screens wondering what to do next.
The first time you add an escalator, the Route Mechanic you enter automatically becomes your "Mechanic in Focus" — no second step needed to pick yourself from a dropdown.
The "Clear All Data" button in Settings now behaves the same as "Clear Sample Data" — wipes mechanic state and drops you on the Escalators tab so there are no leftover bits from earlier testing.
Plus a fix for the Edit Time Ticket modal where typing in the Description field could push the field out from under the keyboard.

Finicky bits.

What's new in 2.8.4
• Maintenance items in "Needs Attention" are now grouped by building — e.g. "Eaton Centre · 3 units without maintenance this month" instead of one row per unit
• Monitoring callouts on the Dashboard now only surface units that are ACTIVELY on the Monitoring tab (no more stale entries from units removed long ago)
• High-priority monitoring units are highlighted; medium-priority units only appear if they have monitoring photos; low-priority units stay quiet
• Removing a unit from the Monitoring tab now also clears its priority, photos, and Action Items text — with a confirmation alert before deletion
• Dashboard Overview tutorial popup now explains all four filter chips including "All Units"
• Older shut-down units that lack a recorded shutdown date now show an approximate duration ("Down since approx. Mar 12 · 3.5 months ago") based on the unit's last edit
2.8.4 30 abr
• Smarter Dashboard — tapping a "Needs Attention" item now opens the right tool (Monitoring card for deficiencies, filtered list for overdue maintenance, unit detail for shutdowns)
• Maintenance "Needs Attention" only appears in the last 4 weekdays of the month — much less noise
• "+N more items" is now tappable to expand the full attention list
• CAT1 Progress card on the Dashboard now opens the full metrics screen
• Pull-to-refresh added to the Dashboard and Settings
• Shutdown listings now show the date and an approximate duration ("Down since Mar 12 · 3.5 months ago")
