PLACE SEARCH Tap the Command Grid and select Search to find any city, address, or landmark worldwide. Tap a result to fly the map straight to it. No coordinates needed. RESHAPE ROUTES & AREAS You can now redraw the path of a route or the boundary of an area without deleting it first. Open the item's details, tap Edit, then tap the reshape icon. Drawing mode opens pre-loaded with the existing shape, adjust it, tap Finish, and save. Your label, color, and attachments stay intact.

Version 1.5.0: Photos, Archives, Icons & Sync We’re excited to bring you Flaresat 1.5.0! This update is packed with highly requested features to help your group communicate and map more effectively. Here is everything new in this release: Photo Attachments on Map Items Any pin, route, or area can now hold photos. Open an item’s details, tap Edit, then tap the + tile to take a photo or pick from your library. All group members see the attachments instantly and can swipe through them in a new full-screen gallery. Archive Map Items Keep your active map clean without permanently deleting important data. Tapping “Archive” moves items to a separate list and reduces their opacity on the map so you don’t lose context. You can unarchive them at any time. Expanded Palette: 20 Icons & 20 Colors Build a proper visual language for your group. We’ve expanded to 20 icons (adding Medical, Tent, Announce, Photo, Gather, Water, Fuel, and Wifi) and 20 colors (adding Teal, Yellow, Navy, White, Lime, Brown, Magenta, Indigo, Grey, Forest, Crimson, Black, Pink, and Olive). Settings & Unread State Sync Your preferences and chat read states now follow you across every device. Switch from phone to web, and your map layer, compass mode, location frequency, and cleared notification badges are exactly how you left them. Location Update Frequency Control your battery drain. Open your Profile to choose from four tiers: Real-time (5s), Balanced (10s), Power Saver (30s), or Ultra Saver (3 min). QR Scanner for Groups & Orgs Joining a team is now instantaneous. Tap the QR icon next to the code input and point your camera at the group’s QR code to join immediately—no typing required. Export & Cloud Backup for Online Groups Online groups now have the same data security as Radio groups. Admins can navigate to Group Settings to save a cloud snapshot, restore from a previous backup, or export a standard .flaresat file for safekeeping.

GUEST MODE You can now use Flaresat without creating an account. On the sign-in screen, tap "Continue without account" under the RADIO section. Create and join Radio groups, drop pins, draw routes, chat over the mesh, and connect a LoRa radio device — no sign-up required. Sign in any time from your profile to unlock cloud groups and sync features. LO​RA TRACKER GEOFENCING Alert zones now also monitor LoRa radio trackers (Meshtastic and MeshCore) in addition to named group members. When a tracker crosses a boundary, you get a notification and a system message in the group chat. Works in the foreground and while the background radio sync task is running. CLICKABLE AREA LINKS IN CHAT Geofence system messages now include a tappable link to the area that was crossed. Tap the area name in the notification to jump directly to it on the map. MAP IMPROVEMENTS - Selected pins, routes, and areas now show a clear highlight so you always know what's active. - User avatars show a dynamic border color based on how recently their location was updated. Summer 2026 Update, Biggest release yet. MeshCore Support Flaresat now works with both Meshtastic and MeshCore LoRa firmware. Pins, routes, areas, text chat, and live location all work over either mesh. Select your firmware in Device Controls before scanning. Off-Grid is now Radio We renamed off-grid mode to Radio throughout the app, same map, same chat, zero internet. All your existing Radio groups are untouched. Organizations Nest multiple groups under a single workspace with Admin and Member roles, invite codes, and full member management. Geofence Alert Zones Draw any boundary on the map and get a push notification the instant someone crosses it. Choose entry, exit, or both per zone. Works in the background and over the Radio mesh without internet. Background Live Share Tap LIVE and choose a duration, 15 min, 1 hour, or 8 hours. Your location broadcasts even with the app in the background or screen locked. A system indicator keeps you in control. QR Codes & Invite Links Every group has a scannable QR code in Group Settings. Radio groups now have a shareable invite link too, send a tap-to-join URL even when someone isn't next to you. In-App Announcement Inbox A bell icon on the home screen shows release notes, tips, and updates without leaving the app. Unread announcements show a badge. Radio Delivery Status Every outgoing Radio message shows a delivery indicator, Pending, Sent, or Failed. If a map item fails, the create sheet stays open so you can retry. Relay Bridge Link an off-grid Meshtastic group to a cloud group and everything syncs automatically — both ways.
