Daily read-aloud practice for aphasia, built by a physician.
FlowFast was created by Laurent Palmatier, MD, a practicing Internal Medicine physician who cares for patients with stroke and aphasia in and out of the hospital. He built it so they would have something steady to practice with between therapy sessions.
WHY DAILY PRACTICE
Speech therapy is essential, but sessions are short and often far apart. Progress also depends on what happens in between. FlowFast gives you a calm, structured place to practice, about 10 minutes a day.
LIKE LEARNING AN INSTRUMENT
Fluency builds through controlled repetition. Work through tongue twisters and short, uplifting passages at a pace you set: start slowly, then speed up as your precision improves.
THE 30-DAY CHALLENGE
• About 10 minutes a day: a short warm-up, then a guided reading session
• On Day 1 and Day 30, read the same passage on your own while FlowFast records it on your device
• On Day 30, hear both recordings back to back and see how your reading time, pauses and pace changed
