Ghostlane is now available in Russian, Chinese and Persian, and follows your iPhone's language. Mobile data: on carriers that keep several cellular connections open, the app could send its traffic through one of the carrier's service connections, and every server failed to connect while Wi-Fi worked. It now uses the connection iOS itself uses for the internet. olcRTC rooms • Support for rooms on a third meeting service, tuned to stay up through long downloads and uploads on slow connections. • When a meeting service drops the connection, the tunnel comes back in seconds instead of minutes. • Reconnecting after a network change no longer stalls on servers that offer rooms on several meeting services. • Jitsi rooms: self-hosted servers connect more reliably, transfers no longer stall, and a network change no longer ends the connection. • Bursts of new connections, such as a page full of images, no longer go missing, and large downloads through a busy room no longer break. • Joining a room over mobile data no longer gives up after five seconds. Connections • Hysteria2 on networks that drop UDP: if the connection is up but carries no traffic, the app switches to the same server over Reality, gRPC or XHTTP when your list offers one, and tells you. • More server types import and connect: Trojan, Shadowsocks (including Shadowsocks 2022) and VMess, and VLESS over gRPC, WebSocket or HTTP upgrade. • Each server list now starts with a "Lowest latency" entry: choose it, and the app connects to the fastest server in the list. It replaces the "Lowest at connect" switch in settings. Server lists • A list can name a backup address for when its usual one does not answer, and the app follows a list that has moved. Both work over HTTPS only. • ghostlane:// links open in the app. • Refreshing a list no longer drops a server that shares its name with another. Privacy and diagnostics • For XHTTP connections, the proxy the app runs inside the tunnel now requires a login only Ghostlane knows, so other apps on the device cannot use it. • Optional detailed debug logs for problem reports: off by default, and exported logs hide addresses and credentials.

The app is now Ghostlane. Same app, same code, a new name and a new icon. Your server lists, settings and the connection you are on carry over untouched. The VPN profile in Settings is renamed with the app.

This release is about staying connected. • The connection no longer drops during large downloads or speed tests. • Pages load as soon as a location connects. Before, a location could connect and then carry nothing at all. • Switching to another location now always works. A location that had stopped responding could block every later attempt until the app was restarted. • A connection that has quietly stopped carrying traffic is now noticed and rebuilt, instead of showing as connected while nothing loads. • Fewer failed connection attempts on mobile networks. • When a location's server does not answer, the app says that, and what to try, instead of suggesting an update that would not have helped.

What's New in 1.0.397 • olcRTC rooms run on an updated engine with a new connection protocol. Rooms served by ProofKit have already moved to it; this update is required to keep using them. • Voice and video calls, and online games, now travel through the room tunnel as well — fewer dropped calls on mobile networks. • Switching between Wi‑Fi and cellular no longer breaks a connected room: the app re-points its DNS and reconnects on its own. • Clearer messages when a room cannot connect — an outdated server, a key that is no longer valid, or an empty room are now named as such. • Server lists refresh faster and keep working when your provider's own DNS is the only one that answers. • Stability fixes for long transfers through rooms hosted on Jitsi.

• New routing choice in Settings → Routing. "Bypass Russia" sends Russian sites, .ru domains and your local network straight out while everything else stays in the tunnel. "All traffic through the tunnel" remains the default and works exactly as before. • Faster browsing through olcRTC rooms: name lookups no longer wait on the relay, so pages start loading in seconds rather than tens of seconds. • Changing the routing choice while connected reconnects automatically. • Exported logs now include tunnel diagnostics, which makes your bug reports much easier to act on.

Connections on mobile networks are more reliable. The app now resolves names through the network you are on before trying public resolvers, so rooms that worked on Wi-Fi but timed out on cellular connect on cellular too. • Fixed "no route to host" on phones with two cellular interfaces or two SIMs: each connection now uses the interface that carries it. • When a name cannot be resolved, the message says what was asked and what answered, instead of a bare timeout. • A room link that asks for a mode its host cannot use is flagged on the card, and connecting explains what to change instead of waiting. • The error message can be closed with a tap; stopping the connection clears it too. • Custom locations and server lists can be removed right from the main screen. • Hand-added rooms are no longer wrongly marked as having an invalid key. • The shareable diagnostics log now records which network interface was used, so connection problems are easier to report.

New design
