Apple TV - With an Apple TV chosen from the output button, streams without authentication now show their picture on the Apple TV as well. The iPhone shows "Playing on the external display" and stays upright. - Streams that need a user name and password still send only the audio to the Apple TV, and the picture stays on the iPhone.

Video streams - Streams with video now show the picture under the Now Playing card. Turn the iPhone sideways for full screen; tap the picture to show the controls. - With a display connected by an HDMI cable, the picture appears on that display only, and the iPhone stays upright. - In the background or with the screen locked, the audio keeps playing. The screen does not turn off while a video is playing. - Streams found to have video get a TV icon in the list. Other changes - Streams without authentication can be added: leave both the user name and the password empty. - A stream's Lock Screen icon can now be set in the stream editor, under Details, with a button to test it. - The stream list is simpler: only the name, plus the reason when playback fails.

When a shortcut or Siri cannot reach the server, the error now says so. Previously it only said that playback did not start in time. Interruptions such as phone calls and Siri are now handled with the latest mechanism. Playback pauses and resumes as before.

Siri now works. In version 1.3.0 the release notes said it did, but it did not -- sorry about that. To start a stream, say its name with the app name, for example "Play Office Radio with StreamPlayer". Say "Stop StreamPlayer" to stop it. Please include the app name. Without it, Siri plays from Music or another app instead.

You can now start and stop a stream from the Shortcuts app. The app does not open; the audio simply starts. Combine it with an automation to play automatically -- for example when your iPhone connects to your car stereo over Bluetooth. Note that Bluetooth automations do not always fire; that timing is handled by iOS. Siri works too, with the app name: "Play -stream- with StreamPlayer".

The Lock Screen and Control Center now show artwork while a stream is playing. The square next to the stream name was empty in earlier versions; that was a bug. You can also give each stream its own artwork. Add an image URL to your settings file and it appears on the Lock Screen, which makes it easier to tell streams apart. Artwork on a server that needs a user name and password works too. The app icon is shown when no image is set.

You can now send the audio to an AirPlay speaker or a Bluetooth device from the output button at the bottom right of the main screen. It is the same control you already had on the Lock Screen. The app now shares its output with Music and Podcasts, so it follows the destination you are already using for long-form audio. Earlier versions said this app did not support AirPlay. That was incorrect, and the description has been corrected.
