Free runs one at a time, as before. • Saving your own pads and editing the 8 presets are now part of Pro. Pads and edits you already made stay yours to run, edit and delete. • The 5 free holds count every hold, however you start it, including from the keypad. A NEW LOOK • A new icon: bold amber, readable at any size, with dark and tinted versions for iOS 18 and later. • A real seven-segment display on the Home, running and expiry screens. • Your next countdown is a big glowing number of days, at the top of Events. • The Pro screen opens with the price, and says what Pro adds when something you tapped needs it. • The extend buttons are big and in the pad’s own colour, and the main buttons are solid. • The free-hold meter is five lights you can read at a glance. • The privacy policy and terms of use are one tap away, in Settings and on the Pro screen. FIXED • The keypad no longer sits under the clock on taller iPhones. • Tapping the Event Countdown widget opens Events. • "iOS WILL ASK NEXT" no longer comes back after you have allowed alerts. • On iOS 16, HOLD no longer starts a Lock Screen Live Activity it cannot draw. • When the App Store can’t be reached, the Pro screen says so and lets you try again. • VoiceOver reads the countdown as a time, and button labels meet WCAG AA contrast in every pad colour.

ALREADY USING HOLD? NOTHING CHANGES FOR YOU. This version adds a five-hold free trial for new installs. If you already have HOLD, you keep unlimited holds permanently, at no cost — you'll see UNMETERED HOLDS above the START button where the counter would be. Nothing you made is taken away. FIXED • The expanded Dynamic Island showed "1 hour..." instead of digits. It now reads 1:59:43, the same as the Lock Screen. • Compatibility with the latest iOS. EASIER TO READ • Every label in the app is brighter, including the small print you read at arm's length in daylight. • The ink and mark swatches in the keypad are bigger and easier to hit. • A running hold now shows its pad's note instead of empty space, and the progress bar is thick enough to see at a glance. • TEMPLATES and MY PADS are now simply PADS and YOUR PADS — one word for one thing.
