Howz is a smart home system designed to help older people stay independent for longer. Howz works because a change in the daily routine of an older person can signal a change in health and well-being; and a change in daily routine can be detected from their home environment. Howz learns a person’s daily routine and uses this to detect short term anomalies and long term changes.
Howz works with smart meters in 5m UK homes or with the Howz Smart Home Kit (requires purchase.)
The Howz app provides meaningful, easy to digest, live information about daily routine direct to your phone.
With Howz you can:
* see activity levels over the last 7 days
* see how long since the last activity; and how you can wait before getting an alert
* get notifications for low activity, late start to the day, up in the night, unexpected activity when away from home
* with the Howz Smart Home lit get notifications for doors, temperature levels
For use with a smart meter download the app and it will take you through the process.
The Home Care Kit is purchased through www.howz.com. Once you have received your kit use the app to create an account and it will take you through the simple steps to register your Kit, set up your subscription and then start viewing your timeline. Alerts are sent via push notification if a change in normal routine is detected. As soon as Howz has learned your routine (usually after 7 days) we will let you know the alert settings that have been applied to your site.
All information is stored in a secure data centre within the UK, EEA or US area under security shield in line with GDPR. We do not share your information without your permission.
