SatSquatch 4.0 is the biggest update in the app's history. SATELLITE All 16 GOES-East and GOES-West bands and the Himawari-9 full disk, with True Color and the core composites. RGB composites such as Air Mass, Day Cloud Phase and Fire Temperature (Pro). GLM lightning and LightningCast (Pro). LEVEL II RADAR Every tilt from every NEXRAD and TDWR site. Reflectivity and storm-relative velocity, spectrum width and the dual-pol moments (ZDR, CC, KDP, PHI). Echo tops, VIL, MESH, azimuthal shear, rotation tracks, ZDR columns and a tornado debris overlay. 15-second refresh, with live sweeps (Pro). Radar cross-sections and GRLevelX color table import (Pro). MODEL MODE A new Analysis | Model toggle adds forecast models to the map: HRRR, RRFS, GFS, RTMA and URMA, plus ECMWF IFS and AIFS, RAP, AIGFS, NBM and the GEFS, REFS, AIGEFS and AIFS ENS ensembles (Pro). Filled contours, labelled contour lines, wind barbs and animated wind particles. 18 built-in presets such as 500 mb heights and vorticity, STP with shear barbs, and reflectivity over updraft helicity tracks. ARCHIVE MODE (PRO) Pick any past date and replay it: GOES satellite back to 2017, Level II radar back to 1991, MRMS back to 2020, plus GLM lightning and fire detections, with that day's warnings, watches, SPC outlooks and storm reports. WIND A new wind button animates the current wind as flowing particles, with a level slider from 10 m up to 250 mb. SPLIT SCREEN, INSPECTOR AND CUSTOMIZATION Two map panes with synced cameras and their own layers. Pick display units per layer. 49 colormap presets and a full colormap editor. MORE DATA 38 new MRMS products, with the full hail, rotation, rainfall and flash flood suite (Pro). Storm reports, ProbSevere, WPC fronts, SPC Day 4–8, WPC ERO and QPF, CPC outlooks, Nadocast, and tropical model and ensemble tracks.
