Marks & Courses screens let users create marks in several ways: manually on the Live Map, by entering a range and bearing, or by uploading a GPX file. You can then navigate to that mark via the Navigate screen or on Live Map, where you can use course extension lines and the Opposite COG line (Plus Plan) to nail your lay lines.

Start screen The addition of starting line-favored end indicators provides a quick visual reference to show port or starboard line bias. Line bias of 10° or more shows as double arrows. Live Map Users can view available NOAA GRIBS or GRIBS from other services, such as Tidetech, when their subscription services include Current GRIBS. NOAA Current GRIB overlays showing predicted current direction and current strength can be easily downloaded directly from the app and are available for several US regions including: East Coast, West Coast, Gulf Coast, Great Lakes, and Alaska. Improved support for Live Map with a selectable Chart Background that displays a NOAA Raster Chart based on your location, where available. The Boat icon now includes a course extension line to visually track your Course Over Ground and your Opposite Course Over Ground for Plus users with instrument connectivity.

Updates to the Speed screen help you sail at your targets on all points of sail now. The app switches automatically between VMG % when you are running or beating to weather and Polar % when you are reaching. Some minor updates enhance switching from free trial mode to starting a subscription.

The Apple Watch update now includes the Extended Watch Session. This option enables users to remain on the Watch face while racing. To enable this feature, select Settings in the Watch App. Select General > Return to Clock > Custom > Return to App.
