WildNames is a cosy wildlife journal with live camera scanning for the animals that keep coming back.
Take a photo of a bird, squirrel, fox, hedgehog or any other wild visitor, give them a name, and start building a personal record of the animals you see around your garden, local park, balcony, canal path or favourite walking route.
Maybe it is Dave the squirrel. Maybe it is Bob the robin. Maybe it is a mysterious little legend who keeps appearing at the same time every morning.
WildNames helps you turn everyday wildlife into familiar characters.
HOW IT WORKS
Create a profile for each wild animal you spot. Add a name, species or type, notes, and multiple photos over time.
When you open the live scanner, WildNames uses your iPhone camera to scan the scene and compare what it sees with the animal profiles you have saved.
If the app finds a visual match, it can suggest a familiar visitor with friendly labels such as:
“Looks like Dave”
“Possible match: Bob”
“New visitor?”
Because wild animals can look very similar, WildNames never pretends to be certain. You confirm whether the app got it right, and each confirmed sighting can help build a better profile for that animal.

Create a named profile for each regular visitor. Add photos, notes, species labels and sightings so you can remember who you have seen before.
LIVE WILDLIFE SCANNING
Open the scanner and let WildNames compare the camera view with your saved animal photos. It is designed to help spot familiar-looking visitors and suggest who might be back.
