LinguaTrans is a native macOS CAT tool for professional translators. It opens the bilingual files your agencies send and lets you work through them with full tag fidelity. Save, and everything gets written back byte-for-byte. Nothing changed but the translations you put in. Built in Swift for macOS. No Java runtime, no Windows VM, no Electron shell. It looks and behaves like a Mac app because it is one. SUPPORTED FILES Work directly in SDLXLIFF (Trados Studio), XLIFF 1.2, TXLF (Wordfast Pro), MQXLIFF (memoQ) and MXLIFF (Phrase). Envelope, skeleton and inline tags go back exactly as delivered. Locks you set get written the way the client's tool writes them, and files open on the other end without complaint. THE EDITOR A two-column grid with inline tag chips that survive paste, partial deletion and round-trip. Keyboard-first: confirm and jump to the next unconfirmed segment without touching the mouse. Autosave on confirm and on every switch. Native spell check and grammar in the target, suggesting, never rewriting. Fix Quotes levels a file of mixed straight and curly quotes to one typographic style in a click. TRANSLATION MEMORY One memory per project, kept as a plain file beside your work, or one per client in a library so every job for them builds on the last. Fuzzy and context matches with scores and dates, concordance across the project, click-to-insert. When nothing matches the whole segment, shared fragments of three words or more appear on their own. Import and export standard TMX. Pre-translate fills confident matches as drafts, one file or the whole project. GLOSSARY Import termbases as CSV or tab-delimited text, per project or per client. Terms light up green in the target where used and warn in the source where not. A term can be Required, Informational or Rejected. Turn down a rendering and it gets flagged, with the approved term named alongside it. Matching understands inflected forms too; a plural won't hide a term. QUALITY CHECKS Conservative, non-blocking QA: tags, numbers, punctuation, glossary, whitespace, untranslated and repeated words, formality for Dutch, each a filterable bucket with a live count. Whitespace gets checked beside each tag the way the client's own verifier checks it, numbers and units included. Client rules: the client's do's and don'ts as patterns, saved with the project and inherited by the next job for them. Consistency both ways across every file. The QA Report runs everything across the project at once and exports as clean HTML or PDF, your comments included. REVIEW Flag any segment with a comment, correction or question. Flags never touch the delivery file and export as a report with the original wording, the edit and the note. Review on the iPad with LinguaReview, and the flags sync both ways through your own iCloud. For a reviewer with nothing but Word, export the file as a table and take the reviewed column back as drafts to accept or reject. CLAUDE DESKTOP Switch it on and Claude Desktop can see the open file and project: what is unconfirmed, how a term was translated before. Ask for a sweep and Claude proposes targets as unconfirmed drafts with its reasons, or raises flags without touching the text. It never confirms anything. Local, behind a key, off by default, nothing to install. YOUR FILES STAY YOURS Projects are real Finder folders you own. Originals are never touched, and nothing is locked in a proprietary database. Time Machine, iCloud and Finder work on your jobs directly. Local-first: projects, memories and glossaries never leave your Mac. No account, no telemetry. PART OF THE LINGUAAI SUITE LinguaTrans works on its own, and hands files cleanly to LinguaAI Pro (AI pre-translation and review), LinguaAI Terminology (conversion, packages and termbases) and LinguaReview (iPad review). The file is the entire contract; no shared database. PRICING Buy it once and own it. No subscription. Requires macOS 26 or later.

Hand a client a memory of exactly their job, and see what you changed since the file arrived. - Every memory entry now records the project it was confirmed in: where it was first made, which a later job never overwrites, and where it was last confirmed. Jobs whose exports share one file name and overlap in time can finally be told apart. Older entries and TMX imports carry no project; nothing is guessed. - View Contents has a second filter row: a project, Made in or Used in, and a date range on when an entry last changed, with real dates. - Copy to Memory, beside Remove in View Contents, copies the ticked entries or everything the filters show into a new or existing memory in your library. Filter to one project and the client gets a memory of exactly their job. The memory you copy from doesn't change, and entries the other memory already holds are counted, never doubled. - Memories upgrade in place the first time this version opens them. LinguaAI Pro keeps reading them as before. - Changed, a view in the sidebar's Filter list: only the segments whose target differs from the file as it was, with a live count. Compare With in the View menu sets the baseline, so it shows everything you touched since Pro, or everything that happened to the client's file. - Pre-translate from TM on one file or a selection of files, from the right-click menu on the project page, not only for the whole project. - Translate All keeps its flags: flags raised there, by you or by Claude Desktop, are saved with each file and show when the file is opened alone. A flag in the Review tab now names its file and jumps to that file's segment, and Go to Segment says which file it landed in. - When files come back from LinguaAI Pro, or Update Files From Folder replaces them, the replaced rows on the project page flash and their figures refresh at once. - QA flags a tag's code written as text in the target, which a client's machine translation can leave behind in files that came from HTML. - New Project: the Into folder name applies to every file in the list, whether you typed it before or after adding them. - LinguaAI Terminology is called LinguaAI Toolkit from now on.
