r53obd is a diagnostics and logging app built specifically for the first-generation MINI Cooper — R50, R52, and R53. These cars are too old for most modern diagnostic and coding apps, which start at the newer CAN-bus models. r53obd speaks their language.

Built for the enthusiasts and DIYers who want real numbers from the supercharged Cooper S and honest diagnostics across the whole first-gen range.
REQUIRES the OBDLink MX+ adapter (sold separately) and OBD breakout or bridge (also sold separately) for live vehicle data. Inexpensive generic ELM327 clones are not supported for the MINI-specific data. For lawful diagnostics and maintenance on a vehicle you own.
