Descripción

This project is designed and developed to support the “Building Major Programme Futures” MBA elective module, which is led by Prof. Daniel Armanios. Augmented Reality (AR) technology is used here to create a digital twin of the Saïd Business School in order to improve managerial decision-making around how to better respond to climate change in major programmes. In this AR pilot, the scenario is set around water intrusion into the building via precipitation projections from climate scenarios of Oxford that range from mild to extreme versions of those possibilities.

Pedagogically, this is to gauge whether digital tools can serve as scaffolds that help managers more granularly visualize and therefore better prepare for future disruptions in ways more directly tied to their work. This is one of the first experimental tests of Prof. Daniel Armanios and colleagues’ S3 framework for how to improve the delivery and value created from future major programmes, whereby scaffolding is one of the three “Ss”.
