Eternal life is not yet possible. One of the few things that are a certainty, is that we will die one day.
This app calculates your life expectancy and how this could influence the value of your savings in a "pure endowment" contract. In a pure endowment contract, the insurance company promises to pay you a stated sum if you will survive a specific period with nothing payable in case of prior death.
In addition, you can simulate how much lump sum you will have to accrue at retirement age to benefit a lifetime annuity. It is also possible to simulate what the lifetime annuity would be if you have a lump sum available at your retirement age.
The power of this app is that it helps to understand actuarial calculations without any technical knowledge. Step by step you explore the impact of actuarial formulas on your pension account or life savings. No formulas, no expertise, only fun.
The app comes with Belgian mortality tables, but you can easily add any other mortality table.
The app is available in English, French and Dutch.
