Small one this time, but a real one: - The free plan is now right there on the welcome screen. It was always there, it was just shy. - Lingo talks a little less and asks one thing at a time. Turns out that's what a good conversation partner does. - Lingo also reminds you when your free-trial is about to end, if you say yes to notifications - so you can start a trial with no worries! Now go call him!

It's us again, and this time it's about the days you don't call. This update is all about streaks: - Miss a day and your streak no longer dies on the spot. You earn a freeze every 7 days of practice (max 2), and the app spends one for you automatically. We know how life works. - After every call there's a short streak moment. - Frozen days show up as little frozen dots on your week, so you can see exactly where life got in the way. - A gentle nudge at 9 pm if you haven't called yet, and a morning reminder if you want one. Both are off with one tap if you'd rather be left alone. If you made it this far: call Lingo today. Then tomorrow. The freeze is for the day after that.

Still reading these? Good. It's just us again. This update is all about the new Learn tab: - Every word you say (or hear) in a call with Lingo now gets remembered. Not in a creepy way, in a flashcard way. - Flashcards built from YOUR calls. Not "the 500 most common words", the exact words you stumbled on last Tuesday. Flip them, grade yourself, be humbled. - The app quietly schedules when to show you each word again, right before you'd forget it. There's actual science behind this (spaced repetition). - A collection page where your whole vocabulary lives. Search it, filter it, feel quietly smug about it. - Lingo also sneaks words you're about to forget back into your calls. If a word feels suspiciously familiar mid-conversation, that's on purpose. If you made it this far, do us both a favor: take one call, then open the Learn tab. It hits different when the words in there are yours.

Nobody reads these, so let's keep it between us: - Subtitles during calls. Turns out "what did Lingo just say?" was a frequently asked question. Now you can read along while Lingo talks. - Your subscription info in the profile actually looks like something now. Renewal date, minutes, the works. I'm as surprised as you are. - If you subscribe, there's a little note from me (Jakob, the founder) waiting for you. It's genuinely heartfelt, which is embarrassing, so please subscribe so it wasn't written for nothing. - Fixed a bunch of things: nicer error messages when something breaks, hanging up while Lingo is mid-sentence no longer gets weird, and assorted other bugs I'm too proud of to describe accurately. Still here? You're exactly the kind of person who'd love a 10-minute call in the language you keep meaning to learn.

We've been polishing things behind the scenes: - Smoother, more reliable voice calls, even on a shaky connection. - Fixed Google sign-in. - A clearer "End call" button and a faster sign-in experience. Happy practicing!

Say hello to a whole new LingoBuddy. We rebuilt the app around the thing that actually helps you learn: talking. - Call Lingo, anytime. Hang up and get a short, focused recap: what you did well, what to work on, and what to practice next. - New plans that fit your life.
