We’ve completely rebuilt Locava from the ground up. This update is all about speed and performance. We rolled out deep native integrations across the app, making the photo selector, map, and core interactions feel dramatically faster and smoother. Navigation and page loading were fully optimized for performance, so moving through the app now feels instant. We also upgraded the discovery algorithm to surface way more cool spots around you, fixed and fully implemented chat and group chat, and made opening posts significantly faster. On top of that, we added a smart asset prefetching system so high-quality content loads insanely fast when you need it. We’ve taken all of your feedback and rolled out a major bug-fix update. This includes (but isn’t limited to) camera roll performance optimizations, faster posting, an improved For You page algorithm, smoother animations across the app, and much more. We’ve rolled out a completely redesigned UI that makes Locava feel way more consistent and intuitive. Pages now have more consistent UI, interactions feel alot smoother, and the overall experience is more polished and cohesive. We also updated all major libraries to their latest versions to ensure everything looks and feels modern. On the performance side, we did a full optimization across the app. Locava now communicates with our database far more efficiently, reducing unnecessary backend operations for user sessions. This results in a noticeably faster, more responsive experience that feels snappier from the moment you open the app. We also fixed a wide range of bugs, including improvements to activity selection and search, more reliable asynchronous posting, significantly improved media loading times, and many many more fixes behind the scenes.
