Getting in touch works again, and the schedule reads cleaner. Improved • The calendar's cards drop the colored bar down their edge — the time, place and ticket labels carry the color. • A stand's signature item now says "Signature" instead of showing an unexplained stripe. Fixed • Suggesting a correction or sending photos now reaches us. The old address went nowhere, so please send it again — sorry. Works fully offline — no bars on the fairgrounds, no problem.

That's a wrap on 2026 — here's how the twelve days went. New • Home opens with the fair report: attendance day by day, the records, and the 2027 dates. • Share the report as a card you can post. • Tap any day to see what was on it. • Send in your own fair photos — credited to you. Improved • The last day's number fills itself in when the fair posts it. Fixed • Days the fair hasn't counted read as pending, not as zero. Works fully offline — no bars on the fairgrounds, no problem.

The fair closes at 8 on Labor Day, and now the app says so. New • No picture of a stand or show? Send yours in. Improved • Home shows tonight's closing time while you're on the grounds. • Large text stays large on the home tiles. Fixed • Ask answers emergencies, a lost child and parking properly. • Butter sculpting runs 9 to 5, not 10 to 8. • Bad data from the server can't stop the app loading. Works fully offline — no bars on the fairgrounds, no problem.

The search box now lets go when you're done with it. New • Save anything from a search result — tap the star. Improved • Tap outside the search box to close the keyboard. • Back ends a search instead of closing the app. • My Fair asks before taking anything off your list. • More photos of real stands, fewer icons. Fixed • A saved star or heart looked exactly like an unsaved one. • Ask out loud had no way back into the app. Works fully offline — no bars on the fairgrounds, no problem.

The fair's new foods, ranked by the critics who actually ate them. New • What Racket, Mpls.St.Paul and Minnesota Monthly said, with prices. • Apple Fries, tanghulu and six more stands we missed. • Every result says what it is: food stand, menu item, event. Improved • Search beer, get beer. Not root beer. • Tap the search box and just type. • Ask for a bathroom, get the nearest one. Fixed • The Livestock filter returned nothing. Works fully offline — no bars on the fairgrounds, no problem.

The fair's own photography and its own words, all through the app. New • 800+ vendors, plus barns, stages and rides, now show a real photo. • 1,500+ events carry the fair's own description. • Swipe to take something off My Fair, with an undo. Fixed • The home screen hid daily events after opening day. • On Labor Day the app said the fair had ended. It runs all day. • Two Grandstand shows were listed as free. Both are ticketed. Works fully offline — no bars on the fairgrounds, no problem.

Send someone a place and they get the place, not just the app. New • Share any stand, barn, ride or show and your link opens right on it, with a preview that shows what you sent. • Select and copy text anywhere it matters — a stand's location, a showtime, a barn's hours. • Answers from Ask now have a Copy button. Improved • The fair's printed map sits truer on the ground, and its street names stay crisp when you zoom out. Works fully offline — no bars on the fairgrounds, no problem.

The fair's whole schedule, every stand, every menu. New • All 3,833 events across the 12 days, with times and venues. • All 889 stands, with menus and directions. • 36 new foods with photos, 98 new drinks. Fixed • Tap a building on the fair's map, get that building. • Rod Stewart's Sept. 1 show is off — Hairball now, free. • Gates 3, 4 and 10 aren't running this year. • Labor Day last bus: 5 p.m. out, 8:30 p.m. back. Works fully offline — no bars on the fairgrounds, no problem.

Find is easier to read and easier to search. Fixed • The search box no longer draws a second box inside itself, and it now shows a clear focus ring when you tap it. • Results with long names keep the part that tells them apart — the four Sweet Martha's stands no longer all read alike. Works fully offline — no bars on the fairgrounds, no problem.

The printed-map overlay is now accurate across the whole fairgrounds — not just the middle. • Fixed the north half of the map: the fair draws the top of its sheet compressed to fit the big parking lots onto the page, so our overlay drifted the further north you went — badly enough that pins near Murphy, Hoyt and the lots sat a block off the building they belong to. Every street now lands where it's drawn. • You can pan north to the parking lots again — the map used to stop short of where your car actually is • "Help me find a bathroom" no longer answers "dial 911." Asking for help finding something now searches for it; only an actual report of injury routes to first aid • Big-text fixes: Home and Plan no longer clip their labels at large accessibility text sizes • Settings rows respond to touch again Works fully offline — no bars on the fairgrounds, no problem.

The fair's own printed map is now THE map. We georeferenced the official fairgrounds map and laid it under your position, your pins, and your saved places — named alleys, stand footprints, gate numbers, exactly as drawn. • Tap anything: touch a building, stand, or ride on the map for hours, menus, photos, and walking directions • Honest taps: miss something and the map says so instead of guessing — no more opening the wrong barn from across the street • Directions that direct: "Get directions" now opens a real walking route instead of a search page • Another accuracy pass: we checked our pins against the fair's own printed index of 144 places and fixed every mismatch — including the three bike lots • Countdown to gates-open and one-tap $17 tickets, right on Home Works fully offline — no bars on the fairgrounds, no problem.

A sharper blue ribbon. • NEW APP ICON — the rosette is redrawn from scratch: twenty-four pleats in two tiers, a stamped-foil rim, and a bolder MN that still reads at the smallest size your home screen uses. • DARK AND TINTED — the icon now ships proper dark and tinted versions, so it sits right whichever home screen style you use. • SMOOTHER LAUNCH — the opening animation now picks up exactly where the launch screen leaves off, with no flicker between the two. Nothing else has moved. Every stand, route, ride and saved plan is exactly where you left it — and the fair opens August 27.

Your fair, planned — and guided. • WALKING DIRECTIONS — tap any stand, show or barn and the map draws the real route along the fair's streets, with an honest walking time. Works with no signal. • PLAN MY WALK — one tap turns everything you've saved into the best route through every stop, numbered on the map. • OFFLINE MAP — download the street map once and the whole grounds keep working with zero bars. Two million people, one cell tower; we planned for it. • MY FAIR — your saved list is now its own tab: events in day order, check things off as you go, and share the plan with whoever you're meeting there. • NEAR YOU, RIGHT NOW — standing on the grounds, home shows your next stop, what's on, and the nearest restroom, each with a real walking time. • RIDES & ATTRACTIONS — all 65 rides with ticket prices and height rules. Set your rider's height once and every ride says Fits or Not yet. • REAL DIETARY FILTERS — Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten-free now filter by curated menu tags, not guesswork, one tap from the home screen. • ALL 36 NEW FOODS FOR 2026 now show exactly who sells them and where — including the stands that moved this year. • Plus: search right from the home screen, browse all 12 fair days, hand-drawn map pins for every stand, and share any stand or show. Free, no account, no ads.

• A brighter new app icon — easier to spot on your home screen. • The map got personal: every building and food stand now shows its own icon — look for the cow at the Cattle Barn and the cookie at Sweet Martha's. • Small fixes and data polish across the fair guide.

• Fixed a home-screen photo that showed last year's fair dates. • Sharper map: the North End gate, Mighty Midway restrooms, and the North-Gate wheelchair/scooter rental now sit in exactly the right spots. • Refreshed the free Park & Ride list and a few vendor details to match the official 2026 info. • A full behind-the-scenes accuracy pass on fair data — Grandstand lineup, prices, hours, and this year's new foods are all verified.

The big one: find a restroom in a hurry. Tap "Restrooms" on the map to light up every restroom on the fairgrounds at once — family, nursing, and companion-care facilities included. Also in this update: • A fuller map — 27 more buildings and landmarks, with cleaned-up names and locations. • The real "getting here" info — the official free Park & Ride lots and express-bus stations. • Up-to-date rides — the current Kidway and Mighty Midway lineups with current ticket prices. • Sharper schedules — corrected Bandshell and Grandstand set times, the full free-stage lineup, and the verified 2026 animal-judging schedule. • Accurate hours — updated Labor Day early-close times and Seniors Day dates. • Bug fix — a place's details no longer get cut off at the bottom of the screen.

This release goes fully live: every food stand, event and vendor now streams the latest data, so nothing goes stale during the fair. Multi-day shows and daily attractions (hello, lumberjack show) now appear on all the right days. Plus a new "MN" blue-ribbon app icon, a faster launch, and a fresh coat of paint throughout.
