In each level of Oryx, the player controls a spirit collecting energy spheres floating on the screen. To move, the player uses two buttons at the bottom of the screen to control the spirit to the left or right. The spirit will move across various large and small rocks. To move the spirit to the next rock or fly upwards, the player presses and holds the screen to create a rope that shoots upwards, pulling the spirit along by inertia. Bats randomly appear flying across the screen. If a bat touches the spirit's rope, the rope will break, and the spirit will fall back down. Additionally, teleportation pits appear along the flight path. If the rope touches these pits, the spirit will be sucked in and teleported to another pit. Spike traps may appear on the rocks the spirit moves across. Each time the spirit touches a flying bat, a spike trap, or falls into a ravine, one life will be lost. During gameplay, you can use support skills such as creating a shield to protect the spirit from losing lives for 5 seconds, freezing the movement of bats and spike traps for 5 seconds (during this time, the ropes touching the bats will not break), and firing an energy bullet to destroy the nearest obstacle to the spirit. The goal of each level is to collect the required number of energy spheres; you lose when you run out of 5 lives. Use the Energy Drops received after completing levels to purchase additional skill uses at the Shop. The results of each level will be recorded in the Rankings section. With a total of 5 levels, each subsequent level will gradually increase the number of energy spheres to collect, and will be unlocked upon winning the previous level.
