PhaseShift 1.5 gives you more control over your library, Now Playing screen, and device sync. Choose whether a sub device receives your whole library or only selected artists and playlists. A redesigned sync setup makes quality, transfer size, progress, and device roles easier to understand, while catalog-based syncing improves speed and reliability for large libraries. Customize the Library tab with album, song, pinned, and recently added shelves. You can also adjust album artwork sizes to fit more of your collection on screen. Tap the song title or artist in Now Playing to explore track details, artist information, albums, and songs. Now Playing controls are more flexible, and playback is more resilient when files or library sources change. Playlist importing now supports selecting multiple files at once. Settings have also been reorganized so sources, metadata tools, playback options, and library sync are easier to find. This update also improves artwork transfer, app data cleanup, library maintenance, storage handling, and overall reliability.

PhaseShift 1.3 makes large and multi-device libraries easier to manage. Choose a preferred song quality when syncing a sub device, and sort or filter Songs by quality throughout your library. M4A tracks are now labeled more accurately as lossless or lossy. Folders used in place can now be fully rescanned, and referenced tracks open more reliably in PhaseShift. Paired devices can also rediscover the primary device after its local IP address changes. Force Sync now transfers album artwork, music imports and startup scans provide clearer progress, and metadata rechecks show live progress in Settings. You can now add the current track to a playlist directly from Now Playing. This release also improves batch metadata updates, album grouping, external artwork repair, track and disc metadata recovery, album track sorting, and Mac audio output selection. Additional reliability and polish improvements are included throughout the app.

This update improves album ordering by reading embedded track and disc metadata more reliably. PhaseShift now recognizes track and disc positions stored in additional metadata forms, including tags used by MP3, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis and DSD files. It also handles values written as pairs, such as track 3 of 9 or disc 1 of 2. Libraries created with an earlier version are checked automatically in the background. Missing track and disc values are restored from the metadata already embedded in your music, so albums can appear in the intended order without requiring another import. A new Recheck Track & Disc Metadata option is available in Settings. Use it whenever you want PhaseShift to scan your library again. Existing values and fields you intentionally edited or cleared are preserved, and your audio files are never modified. Referenced libraries that are temporarily unavailable will be checked after they are reconnected. This release also includes metadata migration safeguards and reliability improvements.

This update adds flexible album-track sorting and smoother navigation. A new Sort button now appears beside the list/grid control when viewing an album. Choose Album Order, Filename or Title, then select ascending or descending order. Your choice is remembered across launches, and grid and list views always use the same order. Album Order prioritizes embedded disc and track numbers. When those tags are missing or unavailable, PhaseShift now recognizes numbered filenames such as “01 Track.flac” and uses them as a fallback. Existing albums can benefit without being imported again. Navigation from Now Playing is also more natural. Selecting Library, Stats or Settings now closes the full-screen player and takes you directly to the chosen section. This release also includes interface refinements and reliability improvements.

This update adds direct audio-output selection and makes large music libraries easier to manage on Mac. Choose your Mac audio output directly in PhaseShift. The new Output Device setting can follow the macOS system output automatically or route only PhaseShift to a specific connected device, including a USB DAC. Your selection is remembered, and PhaseShift can fall back safely if the device is disconnected. Switching output devices preserves the current track, playback position and play or pause state. The Audio Output panel now shows the selected device, device clock, supported sample rates and whether resampling is occurring. When adding a track or folder on Mac, you can now choose Copy to PhaseShift or Use in Place. Copy to PhaseShift creates a managed copy inside the app. Use in Place keeps the audio in its original location and avoids duplicating large collections. The Music Folder screen now combines managed and referenced music in one list. Clear labels identify how each item was added, and a new filter lets you view all items, copied items or files used in place. Referenced libraries now include Show in Finder and improved reconnection tools. If a referenced file has moved or is missing, PhaseShift explains the problem, displays the file's last known location and provides a direct path to reconnect the library. Settings now includes Clear Library, with safeguards that preserve original files added using Use in Place. Drag-and-drop imports also ask which storage method you want to use before importing. Folder imports now provide clearer results, better duplicate handling and improved support for artwork stored as cover.jpg, cover.jpeg or cover.png. Additional storage checks help prevent imports from consuming all available disk space. This release also includes playback, library migration and Mac sandbox reliability improvements.
