Plabable provides the ultimate resource to revise for the Professional and Linguistic Assessment Board (PLAB) exam which is the main route by which International Medical Graduates demonstrate they have the necessary skills and knowledge to practise medicine in the UK. PLAB part 1 is a three-hour computer-marked written examination comprising 180 single best answer questions. This review is about PLABABLE as whole (I barely used the app) and my recommendations. Thanks to my effort I passed PLAB1 in the first attempt, I had a decent amount of time for it. I only used PLABABLE material, therefore I can confirm it is high quality for the test, and of great help. 1- start preparing as soon as possible, if you have a lot of free time, I would say 3 months would be enough, if you are working while preparing or you are hard to focus (like me) then at least 6 months before. If you are a focused student maybe a month is enough. 2- use PLABABLE questions by category, read all at least once. 3- Gems will help you a lot, specially for the subjects you have trouble to understand ej: probability calculations, etc.4- within Gems, read all the SEEDS, this will help you a lot as you will read some new questions and known questions with a twist, I would suggest to use SEEDS for the final month of your preparation. BELIEVE ME, you need to read questions with a twist. 5- UTMOST IMPORTANT, use free mocks to train yourself for time management, I can not stress how important this is. I trained myself and I finished PLAB1 with 20 min left, then I rechecked the questions I was unsure. Use answer sheet, pencil and a timer, this will reflect more accurately the conditions of the exam. 6- I would not recommend Big Mocks (I paid 2), free mocks should suffice. 7- all in all, PLABABLE is great material, but not magic, you have to put an effort.
