This update fixes some bugs and improves the way the app works, as our groups continue to add led walks to the programme.

We are pleased to be re-introducing some pre-booked group walks across Britain, for those groups who wish to walk together again. It may be some time before group walks restart where you live. Routes are always available for solo walking if you would like to use them for your daily exercise. This update fixes some bugs and improves messaging within the app.

Due to the current Coronavirus situation in the UK and the restrictions to group gatherings, Ramblers GB has suspended all walks and events from Wednesday 18 March until at least 31 May 2020. Routes are still available for solo walking if you would like to use them for your daily exercise, and this update will show you the routes closest to you.

Improved login for first time users We've simplified the way Ramblers members register for the app the first time you use it, to make it easier to get up and running on your phone or iPad and get out walking! Route Profiles All of our Ramblers Routes now come with route elevation and distance graphs, showing the ascent and descent along your route, so you'll know what to expect as you walk. Distance and height convertor You can now toggle between Miles/Feet and Kilometres/Metres for all distances and heights across the app, whichever is your preference. Just go to My Profile to easily switch. Bug fixes We've listened to feedback from our members who are already enjoying the app, by fixing annoying little issues on the walk search filters as well as the way that images are displayed on iPad.

New Content This app now features over 3,000 walking routes ranging from 1 mile to 14 miles. The walking area lets you choose led walks, independent routes or social events. Search Led walks now have improved search, where you can now choose My Group or My Area as well as any other location and filter by day of the week and date range. Routes can searched by location, duration, circular or linear and whether you can reach the route by public transport or not. Routes All routes have been developed and checked by Ramblers members and have post-code/co-ordinates of start location, a full summary, a way marked map to download or follow and stunning photography. The way-marks have clear instructions so you will never get lost.

NEW FILTERS My Area and My Group so you can see your local walks as a list or on the map. WALKERS REGISTERED You can now see the number of people who you have registered on your walk. You can see them in three places. 1. The number will show in brackets by View Register. 2. You can see them in the middle of your screen. 3. When you are in the walk you can also see the number of people by Take Register. LOG OUT We have made this easier to find at the bottom of the screen in the More section.

New Improved Walk Listings Now with location maps, photos and enhanced details of Groups Walks from our National Walks Listings. You can submit a photo of a walk during a recce that will display in the app. A full map view will show you walks across the country so you can find groups walks to enjoy anywhere in England, Scotland or Wales. You can search for walks by putting in your location or using the filter to select walks by date, location, duration, grade or length. Features and Offers Featured content from the Ramblers national website and Walk magazine alongside Ramblers member discounts and offers from other partners. Digital Membership Card You membership card will now be with you on your phone complete with QR code so you can register easily for any walk. Walk registers Take walk registers easily, choose from a list of your members, scan cards or add members and non-members manually. In App Help In the “More” section you can get direct access to frequently asked questions about the App, about what we do, about your membership or submit a query direct to our national support teams. Ramblers Only The app is available to Ramblers Members only - you will need your Membership number with you to sign up. If you are not already using the Ramblers Insight Hub or walk register app then you will need to Sign up and you will need your membership card or membership number handy. If you are using the Insight Hub then all you need to do is sign in.
