Lending Offers, where members can offer to lend items or a place. Borrow Requests, where members can make a request to borrow an item or a place, such as a book or room. We now allow Money Requests in multiple currencies. Events now can have multiple sponsors. We fixed the issue of past events being displayed. The sandbox community now has a banner to distinguish it from a live community. Added scheduling capability to events, so users can add it to their personal calendars.

Admins can create events that have recurring dates. Members will be able to create their own request categories. We have added access to the Swift payment method for receiving donations to non-US bank accounts. For access to payment methods not listed, we have added an “Other” button. We have enhanced the tasks tab to include offers. Added capability to message and post feeds to Child Communities.

Bug fixes

The 1.6.2 is a bug-fix release to fix errors and make minor improvements. Enhancements within this release: SevaX Global feature which includes virtual requests and offers. Member can now see public groups and events in community about before joining a community. Bio maximum characters extended to 5000.

The 1.6.1 is a bug-fix release to fix errors and make minor improvements on the 1.6 release. Here is the list of enhancements: Earlier, the only way to explore other Seva Communities was by specifying a radius (in miles/Km) from the user’s current location. Now, users can provide a zip code or City, State combination and available Seva Communities within the specified radius are shown (Pre-defined) Skills and Interests now have multiple languages support. Community Creator (aka SuperAdmin) now has the ability to delete content in a group. Earlier only the group creator had this ability.

1. Groups now have a “Sanctioned” badge. Groups created by Community Admins are automatically sanctioned. Community members have an approval workflow to allow them to get a sanctioned badge for Groups that they create. 2. Earlier only members received Seva Credits for the number of hours that they volunteered. Now, Admins can also receive Seva Credits for the hours spent in managing the Community. 3. Users can create Private communities. These communities are not “visible” to the public. Members need an invitation to join a Private community. Push notifications are now sent for Feeds and messages as well. Users have the option to turn these notifications off. 4. Enhanced Reporting capabilities. Community creators get detailed reports on the activity in the community on a monthly basis. 5 Message Room enhancements. Now, message rooms can be created for all the users participating in an event.

We have added two important features in this version: Projects: You now have the ability to manage Requests under Projects. Earlier the hierarchy was Timebank > Groups -> Requests. With the addition of Projects, the hierarchy is Timebank -> Groups -> Projects -> Requests. This allows you to create logical collection of requests for a given group Search: In earlier versions, the search capability was limited to exploring Timebanks and Groups within a Timebank. Search is now expanded to include Projects, Requests, Offers and Feeds.

We have removed the need for communities to provide a credit card at the time of creating a Timebank. Enterprises and Non-profit organizations continue to need to provide a credit card. We have also made improvements in CRUD operations for Groups within a Timebank.

In this Beta Release, you can create a Timebank and recruit volunteers - who can accept requests. Once tasks are completed, they are credited for the number of hours that they volunteered. They can use these credits to seek help for themselves. There is a “feed” that users can post relevant messages with photos/ images. These could be celebrations of their volunteer accomplishments or simply sharing articles about upcoming events.
