Skene is the social map for whatever you're into. "Skene" is Finnish slang for "the scene" — and that's exactly what the app shows you: who's heading out tonight, which spot has a group forming this weekend, and where the locals actually go. Whether you're new in town, looking for a partner, or just want to stop texting six group chats to find someone to join, Skene puts your scene on one map. — WHAT YOU CAN DO — • See what's happening, right now and this week. Open the map and browse live activities near you. Tap a marker to see who's going, what they're up to, and join with one tap. • Post a plan in four taps. Pick a category, a place, a time, and who can see it — friends, followers, a specific group, or everyone. Plan a multi-day trip with several stops, or just shout "going out in 30 min". • Looking For Group (LFG). Didn't find the plan you wanted? Post an LFG with the activity, area and time window. Skene notifies you the moment someone in range posts a matching activity. • Bring your own activity. Skene ships with climbing categories (bouldering, sport, trad, ice) out of the box, but anyone can add their own — running, cycling, skiing, paddling, board games, jam sessions, sauna nights, whatever your scene is. The app grows with the community. • Find your people. Filter by activity, area and (where it makes sense) skill level. Browse profiles, follow others, and message anyone you've matched with. • Real places, not just pins. Gyms, crags, trails, parks and venues are linked together so an activity at "Olhava" is the same Olhava everyone else sees. Add new places when you find them. • Grades that travel — for climbers. French, YDS, V-scale, Font and WI are unified under the hood, so a search for "around 6c+" matches no matter which system the poster used. • Import routes and trails. Drop a GPX file from a watch, planner or guidebook app and Skene turns it into a place or trip you can share. • Chat that stays with the plan. Each activity gets its own group chat that disappears with the activity — no more half-dead WhatsApp threads from last spring. • Pick your vibe. 17 hand-tuned color themes (Tokyo Night, Catppuccin, Gruvbox, Nord, Rose Pine, Everforest, and more) — both the UI and the map recolor to match. • Works in English and Finnish, on iPhone, iPad and the web. — WHO IT'S FOR — Skene started in the Finnish climbing scene and that's still where it's strongest, but it's built to work for any group activity.
