NEW: See what's flying near you The location screen now shows live air traffic as animated plane icons. Planes inside your circle turn green, so you can see what Skyby will catch. Tap any plane for its callsign and aircraft type. New to Skyby? Setup now shows the air traffic around you, so you can set your spot before launching. ALSO NEW - "Every catch" alert: turn it on in Alerts to hear a chime for every plane you catch. IMPROVEMENTS - Fixed a bug where A380 and 747-8 chimes didn't always sound. - Switching your pin between Static and Live now explains what each one does. - Settings and About are now formatted to better fit your device. - Fixed a bug where departing flights didn't show their correct outbound route. - Fixed a bug where some renamed airlines didn't show their current name, and some business jets showed a defunct airline's name. - Removed the "Check coverage" button, since live air traffic on the location screen now shows coverage directly.

Fixes a crash on launch affecting devices running iOS 27.

* Added a Check Coverage button and clearer first-open guidance * Fixed a blank screen that could appear when launching with no or poor signal; the app now shows a clear status and keeps trying * Fixed iOS logbooks getting wiped after deleting and reinstalling the app; your logbook now survives it * Fixed the Settings and Alerts windows not closing when you tap outside after changing a setting * Fixed certain regional flights showing the wrong airline on the catch card * Cleaned up switching between the default and Founder app icons * Cleaned up the first-run tips so they point at the right spots * Added Japan, Korea, the Philippines, and Mexico

New in 1.24: Singapore! Skyby now covers Singapore. If a plane's on approach to Changi, we've got it. Also in this update: - Fixed a bug where some airlines showed an extra digit on their flight number. They read correctly now, and your past catches are fixed too. - For Pro users, missing aircraft photos should happen less often, including for planes with a partial or missing tail number. - A little polish to the first-run screen.

Fixed a first-run bug where the welcome screen could get stuck on some devices. Also cleaned up the catch cards so they look a little less cluttered when a flight passes overhead.

You asked for it, you got it! It's now easier to catch what's flying overhead. • Free accounts can now search up to 3 nm • Getting your initial location is much faster now • Fixed a bug that occasionally let planes lose their correct identity as they cross your sky • The altitude slider is now more precise down low, so low altitudes are easier to set • Accidental taps near the controls no longer nudge your map pin to the edge of the screen • Assorted glitch fixes and polish Thanks for looking up with us!

Skyby 1.21 - Now looking up in Australia, New Zealand, and Greenland Skyby has crossed the equator. If you are under the approach into Sydney, Auckland, or somewhere far more remote (we're looking at you, Perth), the sky overhead is now yours to read. Also new: -The sky is never empty. When nothing is overhead, Skyby now shows you the nearest flight and points you toward it. -Locked on through landing. When a flight lands while within your radius, Skyby now rides it all the way to touchdown and ends on a clean "Landing...", with smoother fades throughout. Like butter! -Heads-up for everything. Incoming alerts now fire for helicopters and small aircraft too, not just airliners. -We fixed a bug where a plane might display the wrong animated icon, including one that kept insisting it was a blimp. It was not. Happy spotting, wherever you are under.

Skyby now identifies everything that flies! - All aircraft: Not just airliners. Private planes, business jets, helicopters and even blimps now appear overhead alongside scheduled flights, each with its type and operator. - New aircraft icons: Piston planes, helicopters, and airships each have their own silhouette on the radar. - Commercial Only Toggle: Prefer airlines only? Flip on "Commercial Only" in settings to keep Skyby focused on commercial flights. Thanks for using Skyby. Keep looking up!

Behind-the-scenes improvements to help us make Skyby better and faster.

Skyby now works across the UK and Europe. Set it down or pull it from your pocket, look up, and the commercial flight overhead is already on screen: airline, route, and aircraft. No searching.

The default minimum altitude is now set at 100 feet, so you will catch aircraft on final approach without having to adjust any settings first. You can still adjust the altitude range in Settings.
