Spa Tech Institute was created in 2001 with the merger of Headhunter II School of Cosmetology, founded in 1976, and the Polarity Realization Institute, founded in 1980 by Nancy Risley. Today, we have four locations offering certificate programs in massage, aesthetics and polarity therapy. Plus, cosmetology, limited barbering and nail tech at our Maine campus. A career helping people to look and feel their best is life changing. Unlike sitting behind a desk connected to phones and computers or working in retail or hospitality, careers in the image and wellness industries are gratifying on many levels. In addition to working in fun and creative environments with people who share your interests, you also have the ability to directly affect your pay by your performance.
