Special purpose acquisition companies, or SPACs, are one of the hottest trends in the investing world. It’s a craze that’s taken Wall Street by storm.
SPACs may be looked as a back door for initial public offering to retail investors. As for traditional IPOs, pension funds and professionals usually get there first, leaving individual investors typically picking up the post-offering breadcrumbs and often paying a higher price.
