Lay rails across a hand-painted valley and send little steam engines from town to town. Every arrival earns Marks, and your lines keep running while you are away.
Spurwright is a calm railway tycoon for one player. Fully offline - no ads, no purchases, no account.
HOW IT WORKS
Start with one small Tinker engine and a single station, Ashby Junction. Build track to the next town, pick an engine, a destination and a cargo, then press Dispatch. The train shuttles back and forth on its own. Each arrival adds to the route's till - tap Collect to bank the Marks and keep the line moving.
LAY TRACK ACROSS THE VALE
- 8 towns on a parchment map of Hollowmere Vale, from Bramblecote to Upper Hobbin
- 11 stretches of line to build: plain track, bridges over rivers, tunnels through the hills
- Each town wants one kind of cargo - deliver it there for a 1.5x payout
FIVE CLASSES OF ENGINE
- Tinker, Rambler, Stalwart, Highlander and Goliath - each faster and roomier than the last
- Upgrade every engine up to level 5 for more speed and capacity
- Carry Passengers, Stone, Wool or Parcels
CONTRACTS
- Take timed jobs from the contract board: haul a set number of loads of one cargo before the deadline
- Claim the reward when the job is done; the board refreshes with new offers
WORKSHOP
- 9 upgrades in 3 branches: Boilers for speed, Platforms for earnings, Signals for longer away time, room for one more contract and a bigger till
WHILE YOU WERE AWAY
- Routes keep running when the app is closed - up to 4 hours at first, up to 12 hours with Signals upgrades
- Come back to a summary of trips made and Marks earned, and collect it all in one tap
LEDGER
- A 7-day Station Log with a stamp and a growing reward for each daily visit
- 12 milestones, from your first rail to connecting the whole vale

iPhone Duo support
- Spurwright now fills the whole inner display when you unfold your iPhone Duo. No more black bars at the sides.
- Hold it sideways and the full map of Hollowmere Vale sits right beside your routes and the Dispatch button, so you can manage the whole line at a glance.
- Hold it upright and the map, routes and Dispatch stack neatly one under another.
- Shed, Contracts, Workshop and Ledger stretch across the full width of the inner display.
- On the outer display everything works just like on any other iPhone. The game adapts the moment you fold or unfold.
UI fixes
- The splash and welcome screens now size themselves to the window, so they stay centred when the screen changes size.
- Fixed the game sometimes turning sideways on regular iPhones. It now always stays upright, as designed.
Under the hood
- Code clean-up and optimisation for steadier performance.
