About Solid Rock Church: - OUR HISTORY From small beginnings as Middletown Evangelistic Center in 1978, Solid Rock Church in Lebanon, Ohio opened it’s doors in September of 1992 under the leadership of Pastors Lawrence Sr. and Darlene Bishop. Solid Rock Church experienced extreme growth over the next two decades and added many projects including the construction of the Darlene Bishop Home for Life in 2003, establishing an orphanage in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2004 and the addition of a South Campus in 2007. Solid Rock Church continues to reach out to the lost and hurting and works toward building up the Kingdom. - OUR BELIEFS There is one true and living God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) The Bible is the inspired Word of God and it declares His design and plan for man Jesus, God’s son, was both human and divine Though originally good, man fell into sin – ushering evil and death into the world Everyone can be reconciled to God through confession, faith and repentance In water baptism, communion and the baptism of the Holy Spirit That sanctification is a process The mission of the Church is to seek and save all who are lost In divine healing of the sick That Christ will return to the earth and rapture his church - Our Goals We are a church where everyone matters. Our common denominator is Jesus. We desire to do all we can to show His love and power. We don’t just go to church, we are the church. Our core values are at the heart of what we do. We believe that . . . EVERYONE needs Jesus EVERYONE matters EVERYONE needs a friend EVERYONE has a purpose We GROW through fellowship and discipleship as we live life together as a family. We SERVE through extending the Love of Christ within the church. We REACH through extending the Love of Christ in our community.
