Steadier: • You stay signed in when our servers have a hiccup. • A photo with nothing to study says so, instead of asking you to try again. • A new install starts on the newest version of the app.

Today's list comes first: • Home shows exactly what to review today, material by material, sized to your time. • Clearer notes that read as a summary, and flashcards for every important idea, without the bloat. • Quick tests from your cards, unlimited. • Move a step of your plan, or remove a test you don't need. • A class cut off while recording can still become notes.

The biggest update yet: • Practice tests from your notes, set out like your real test, with every written answer marked point by point. • Add an old test and your practice test follows its shape. • A plan for every day until the test, sized to the time you have. • Sets for every subject, and a page for each material with its notes, flashcards, memos and chat. • A study timer, widgets, and a class link classmates can open without an account.

What's changed since 5.1.1: • Pro's 7-day free trial is now on the yearly plan only.

What's changed since 5.1.0: • Pro now comes as a yearly or a monthly plan, each with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. StudyLess reminds you three days before a trial ends, and cancelling takes one screen. • The card you're reviewing stays on screen until you rate it, and turning a card no longer blanks part of the screen. • A day with nothing to review no longer ends your streak. • New decks keep your material's order and leave out repeated cards. Chat replies start sooner, and iPad layouts are fixed.

StudyLess 5.1: a brighter, calmer look. • Home shows your next review up top, then every deck in one list, with folders. • Each deck opens as its own space: flashcards, notes, sources and study tools, with the chat a tap away. • Notes are better organised, with related ideas grouped together. • See how much of a deck you've reviewed at least once. Your decks, cards and review history stay as they were.

StudyLess 5: notes and flashcards in one deck. • Make a deck from photos, a PDF or pasted text. StudyLess writes study notes and flashcards together. • Home shows what's due now, what comes back later today, and when today's reviews are done. • Ask your notes in chat, try practice tests, and with Pro get podcast episodes and a visual overview of your notes. • Add a test date to a deck or to a folder of decks. Your decks, cards and review history stay as they were.
