A backup copy that is already safe is never deleted to make room for its replacement. • An import that could not reach a destination now says Import Failed or Import Incomplete and names the destination, instead of showing a checkmark over the problem. • Open Photos or Open in Files right from the completion screen to see what just landed. • Setting up asks where photos should go, and sending feedback asks one question instead of three.

Backups now tell you when something didn't arrive. If a backup couldn't reach one of your destinations it no longer reports itself as complete — the destination that failed is named, so you know what's missing. If Sync Shutter isn't allowed to read a card, it says so instead of quietly reporting there was nothing to back up. Destination folders the app can't write to are flagged in Settings, with a prompt to choose the folder again to grant access. The photo selection grid has been rebuilt. Photos no longer overlap each other — each sits on its own tile with a clear border — and you can switch between small, medium and large thumbnails, which are sharper at every size. The Pro page has been redesigned with pricing up front and features grouped by what they do, and it now scrolls properly; previously the purchase button could be cut off and unreachable. Destination paths in Settings are shortened instead of overflowing their row.

New installs now start with a short setup step that asks where your photos should go, defaulting to the Photos Library. Previously the app opened with no destination configured and no way to know one was needed, so importing could not finish. The Import screen now asks for a destination up front instead of after you have already picked a folder and waited for it to scan.

Choose what gets backed up, and archive years of RAW files for a fraction of the cost. • Review before import — see your card as a thumbnail grid and pick exactly which photos and videos get copied, before the backup starts. • Only import recent shots (Pro) — set a date rule (today, the last few days, or since a date you pick) and Sync Shutter skips everything older automatically. • Cloud archive tiers (Pro) — point an S3 destination at Amazon's Glacier or Deep Archive storage and keep a decade of RAW files for around a dollar per terabyte per month. Best for archives you rarely open; retrieval is started from the AWS console. • Camera video stored outside DCIM is now backed up — clip folders used by Sony, Panasonic, Canon and JVC cameras are found automatically, so nothing is silently left behind. • Report a problem without hunting for it — if a backup fails, a Report a Problem link now appears right on the completion screen, prefilled and ready to send.

Reliability improvements for SD card backups. Sync Shutter now correctly detects cards that use lowercase folder names (common on FAT32-formatted cards), surfaces a clear warning if all file types are disabled before scanning, and resolves several rare crashes that could occur during upload.

Redesigned History A new dashboard shows your backup stats at a glance — files backed up, total data protected, sessions, average per session, favorite card, and time spent. Filter by the last 7 days, 30 days, or all time. Destination usage shows how often each backup location has been used with a visual breakdown. Smarter Settings Backup settings now explain themselves inline — no more hunting for what each toggle does. File type sections show supported extensions directly. "Skip files already backed up" now lives in General settings More Reliable Backups Fixed three edge cases in the backup pipeline that could cause files to be re-copied unnecessarily or silently skipped across multiple destinations. Integrity verification now correctly re-copies a file if the destination copy is corrupt.

Integrity verification. After each backup, Sync Shutter now optionally verifies every file using a SHA-256 checksum. If a copy is corrupted, it's detected, removed, and flagged — so you're never left with a silent bad backup. Smooth progress on large files. The progress ring no longer stalls while copying big RAW files or videos. Progress now updates continuously as data moves. Cloud retry when offline. If your cloud destinations are unreachable mid-backup, the pending uploads are queued and retried automatically when your connection returns. Redesigned History dashboard. Backup history is now a summary view with stat tiles, per-destination usage bars, and a 7-day/30-day/all-time range picker. Reliability fixes. Fixed three edge cases in the backup pipeline: multi-destination history records could corrupt each other's stored file size; incremental skip with checksums enabled could silently accept a same-size but content-different file; files in certain path layouts could land at the wrong destination path.
