Task(ed) — Capture it. Organize it. Done.
A focused task manager that gets out of your way. Smart sections sort your tasks automatically, recurring schedules keep routines on track, and a calendar view shows what's ahead — all without an account or subscription.
Natural Language Input
Type or speak in plain language. "Call mom Friday at 3pm" extracts the title, date, and time. "Add taco ingredients to Groceries" generates the items and routes them to the right list. Review everything in a confirmation card with tappable chips before adding.
Smart Sections
Tasks sort themselves into Overdue, Today, Upcoming, Anytime, and Done. No manual triage — open the app and see what matters now.
Subtasks & Inline Editing
Expand any task row to see notes, check off subtasks, or add new ones inline. Return key commits and opens a fresh input for rapid entry.
Daily Wins
A small counter tracks tasks completed today, your current streak, and your own reward milestones. Just enough signal to keep momentum without turning your list into a chore.
Recurring Tasks
Daily, weekdays, weekly, biweekly, monthly, yearly, or custom rules. Set it once and the next instance appears when you complete.
Calendar View
Visual dots on the calendar grid show task density. Tap a day to see what's due. Overdue markers in red.
All features included, no paywalls:
• Unlimited tasks and lists
• Subtasks with inline add
• Tags for filtering and organization
• Priority flags and recurrence indicators

Más Task(ed) 3.0.2 is a focused reliability update.
• The app and widget now stay in sync after a task is added, completed, or changed from Shortcuts, Siri, or a notification.
• Shortcuts' Complete tiles now show your newest open tasks instead of getting stuck on the oldest five.
• Bug fixes and other improvements.
3.0.2 27 sep
Task(ed) 3.0.1 is a focused reliability update.
• Safer migration and storage for existing tasks and lists.
• More reliable task actions across the app, widget, notifications, Shortcuts, and Siri.
• Safer recovery when a write or restore cannot complete.
• Bug fixes and other improvements.
3.0.1 20 sep
Task(ed) 3.0 makes everyday task management easier to navigate.
• Native layouts across your tasks, lists, calendar, and settings.
• Light and Dark appearance follows your device, with the familiar purple accent and list colors.
• Siri support for adding, completing, renaming, and deleting tasks in Task(ed) on iOS 27.
• Quick Find keeps search and tag filters active as you move into a section.
• More reliable quick-add dates, calendar controls, weekday selection, and subtasks.
The theme and alternate-icon pickers have been retired. Existing alternate icons return to the primary icon.
3.0.0 14 sep
A new look on your home screen — and bulk add now speaks your language.
• New app icon artwork, in both light and dark.
• Adding several tasks at once is now fully translated. The confirmation card used to show English — "Add 9 Items?" and English chip labels — even on a German or French device. The card and every sheet behind it now read in your language, with the right plural forms.
Nothing to set up.
2.9.3 15 ago
Siri and Shortcuts now work the way they always should have.
• "Complete buy milk in Task(ed)" now does exactly that. Siri can find a task by its title — including a partial title, or an accented word said without the accent. • The Task(ed) page in the Shortcuts app used to show five generic tiles and nothing else. Now you get a Complete tile for each of your tasks, plus Get Tasks and Add Task tiles for each of your lists. • The tiles stay current as you add and remove tasks and lists.
Existing installs repair themselves the next time you open the app — nothing to set up.
2.9.2 2 ago
Task(ed) now actually speaks all 8 of its languages.
• The screens that were still English — Backup & Restore, Notifications, the Tip Jar, Daily Wins, the Daily Brief, Appearance and About — are translated everywhere. • The widget is no longer English-only. It now matches the app, using the same wording for the sections both show. • Dates and counts follow your language's rules instead of English ones, so headers read 27/07/26 and plurals come out right. • Siri and Shortcuts read in your language too — action names, parameter names, and the results Siri reads back.
Voice capture is the one exception — it still understands English dates only.

What's New
Get things done without opening the app.
Complete from the Siri card — ask for your pending tasks and every row now has a tappable circle. Tap it and the task is done; the row drops off the card right there, no re-running and no app launch.
Tasks in Spotlight — your active tasks are now searchable from iPhone search, including by a word from a task's notes. Completed tasks stay out of the way.
Note: the Pending shortcut now requires iOS 26 — that's what makes the card interactive. Every other shortcut is unchanged.
2.9 12 jul
What's New: Rescheduling just got a lot faster.
- Quick Reschedule — long-press any task and move it to Today, Tomorrow, This Weekend, or Next Week in one tap. Recurring tasks defer just the one occurrence — the series keeps its cadence.
- Pick a date… — choose any day from a calendar in the same menu, for when the presets don't quite reach.
- Plan My Day — if the Overdue pile is stacking up, a new toolbar button lets you triage it all at once: reschedule in bulk, complete the ones you've cleared, or defer everything in a single tap.
2.8 23 jun
Your tasks are now backed up automatically.
• Automatic iCloud backup — your tasks, lists, and tags back up to your private iCloud on their own. Reinstall the app, or set it up on a new device, and Task(ed) offers to restore everything. There's also a "Restore from iCloud" button in Settings → Backup & Restore for restoring on demand.
• Reminders survive a restore — restoring your data (from iCloud or a backup file) now re-schedules your reminders too, so your notifications keep firing after a reinstall instead of silently disappearing.
Both work alongside the existing file Export/Import — your data has two ways home now.
2.7 16 jun
Voice capture is smarter this release.
• Speak a task and Ramble figures out which list it belongs on — say "toothpaste on my shopping list" and it lands in Groceries, even if you never said the word "Groceries." Name a list that doesn't exist yet and it offers to create it.
• Dates are read more accurately on your device — "before the weekend" correctly becomes Friday, and a task with no time stays dateless instead of getting a made-up one.
• Rambling several things in a row no longer cuts you off — Ramble waits a beat longer between items so your think-pause doesn't end the recording.
Also fixed: switching alternate app icons in Settings now works from anywhere on the row, not just on the icon thumbnail.
2.6 11 jun
This update fixes a display issue where widget text could be hard to read with the White theme when your device was set to Dark mode. Widgets now follow the theme you picked, so the text stays crisp and legible in every theme and appearance.
2.5.2 9 jun
What's New
Voice Capture Recording now listens for when you've finished and stops on its own — and a natural pause mid-thought no longer cuts you off. Tapping Stop is smoother, and if a recording catches nothing usable you get a Try Again card instead of a dead-end alert.
App Icon Badge A new opt-in toggle in Settings shows your overdue and due-today count on the app icon, and it clears when you finish those tasks.
Fixes A frosted-glass glitch on the Home card at launch is gone, the Daily Brief stays readable in Light mode, biweekly-on-multiple-weekdays and custom reminder times now behave, and restoring backups is more resilient.
2.5.1 2 jun
What's New in 2.5:
- Custom lists — Choose an emoji and color for each list. Existing lists migrate automatically, and list rows now show a cleaner left color bar with the list emoji inline.
- Daily Wins rewards — Set your own milestones, track progress from the Home pill, and claim unlocked rewards from the rewards shelf or Daily Brief.
What's Improved in 2.5:
- Smarter list Quick Add — Quick Add chips now come from recently completed items on that list, capped at six and deduped.
- List-page natural-language hint — When typed text looks like a broader list request, Task(ed) now shows a soft hint while still letting you save the literal item.
- Daily Brief rewards polish — Reward celebration now appear over the Daily Brief with an explicit dismiss control and larger Claim target.
What's Fixed in 2.5
- Edit lists after creation — Change a list's name, emoji, and color from the list context menu.
- Daily Wins after clearing Done — Clearing completed tasks no longer hides access to unclaimed or claimed rewards.
- Widget list picker — Upgraded emoji/color lists continue to appear correctly in widget configuration.
2.5 26 may
What's New in 2.4:
- Daily Brief / Day View — Tap today's calendar dot to open a focused view of today's tasks. It also appears once per day when you have incomplete non-list tasks due today.
- List add upgraded — The quick-add field on list pages now uses an item-focused confirmation card with title, list, tags, and notes.
- Add multiple items at once — Separate items with commas on any list page and they all land in a single confirmation.
- List item rows show more context — Notes and up to three tags now appear directly under the item title.
- Recurrence shows the full schedule — Confirmation cards now display "Daily, every 2 days" instead of just "Daily."
What's Fixed in 2.4:
- White theme swatch — The White option in Settings → Appearance now shows white, not grey.
- Localization — Fixed zh-Hans locale identifier and removed orphaned Shortcuts keys from all 8 language files.

List Add Upgraded
The quick-add field on list pages now uses the same confirmation card as home quick-add — chips for date, priority, recurrence, tags, and notes. Separate multiple items with commas.
Recurring Date Fix
Changing a recurring task's due date now saves exactly what you picked — no more silently moving to the next scheduled occurrence.
Natural Language Expansion for New Lists
Type "Stuff for Tacos on the Groceries list" and it works even when Groceries doesn't exist yet — Task(ed) creates the list and populates it in one shot.
Other Fixes
Recurrence chips now show the full schedule ("Daily, every 2 days"). White theme swatch corrected. Localization cleaned up across all 8 language files.
2.3.1 18 may
What's New
Type Like You Talk
The add-task field now understands natural language. Type "Call mom Friday at 3pm" and Task(ed) extracts the title, date, and time automatically — same parser that powers Talk-to-Task.
List Expansion
Type "Add taco ingredients to Groceries" and Task(ed) generates the items and routes them to the right list.
Full-App Theming
Themes now color the entire app, not just accents. 12 themes including new White and Black options.
Alternate App Icons
Pick a different icon in Settings → Appearance.
Calendar in Sections
The calendar toggle moves into Today, Upcoming, and Anytime detail views. Home always shows the sectioned overview.

Due-Time on Task Rows
Tasks with a specific time now show a clock + time chip on every surface — Home, Tasks, and Calendar.
Settings Refresh
Cleaner nav-row layout. Every section is a single tap away.
