Visualised Audio can show you all the beautiful harmonics that your instrument is creating. Is there a difference between your $100 instrument and your $2000 instrument?
Visualised Audio is a fun tool to use while you're practising scales as it's showing you what the notes look like and which harmonics lie on top of the fundamental pitch.
If your instrument is creating strong harmonics you can use the slider at the bottom make the application less sensitive and thus help it classify the fundamental pitch instead of the harmonic. Left on the slider means less sensitive to harmonics. The default value should be good for most people.
Since the application makes heavy use of the microphone it needs both access to it as well as a relatively quiet environment.

Clarity - How pure the signal is. This has nothing to do with error.
