Footnotes now lets you take photos and save them as part of each walk. The notes view has been updated to display both voice note transcriptions and photos, making your walks richer and more personal. We’ve improved the active walk screen and the flow for starting a new walk, along with significant enhancements to the location service to provide more accurate and reliable routes. This release also introduces support for the Lifetime in-app purchase, including new paywalls that make it available after the 3-day trial.

Notes now save their location and appear on the walk map, while walk details include a new descriptive weather summary. We’ve refreshed the color scheme for both light and dark mode and added a fallback greeting “Hi, walker” for users who haven’t completed onboarding. This release also prepares for the upcoming App Store update with a functional settings panel, a placeholder stats view, and a refreshed app header. And now, you can record voice notes and have the audio transcribed automatically.
