FIXED — THE BANNER OVER THE TOWER BAR The ad banner docked to the bottom of the screen, which is exactly where the weapon bar lives, so it covered the build buttons and their prices. On a lot of phones that meant you could not place a tower at all. There is no banner inside a level any more, and on the menus nothing you can tap sits underneath one either. NEW — 60 FPS The game runs at 60 frames per second on phones that can hold it. Settings has a switch if you would rather have the battery. NEW — BOSSES FIGHT BACK From the Desert onward a boss raises a barrier twice as its health falls. Break it and the boss staggers — it stands still while you keep firing. Chip at it slowly and you have spent that damage for nothing. Below a third of its health it burns red and speeds up for the rest of the fight. NEW — SHATTER A slowed enemy is a brittle one. Frost does almost no damage by itself, but bring it alongside the Cannon or the Sniper and every hit on a slowed target is worth 30% more. The weapon select screen tells you when you have the pair. NEW — THREE LEVELS THAT CHANGE THE RULES Every world now has three that ask for something different: one where no tower can be upgraded, so you build wide instead of tall; one where you get a single weapon and as many copies of it as you can afford; and one that starts you with five lives instead of twenty.

NEW — HEROES A hero is not a tower. It walks onto the road, fights what comes, takes damage, falls, and gets back up. Eight of them, Common to Legendary: blockers that stand in the lane and hold it, strikers that fire from beside it. Level them with shards and gold and their damage, range and attack speed all climb together. NEW — KEYS AND CHESTS Keys are earned, not rolled. Every world hands you one at level 6, 11 and 18, and they get bigger the deeper you go — small chests in the Forest, nothing but large ones in Space. The chest then waits until YOU decide to open it, and pays out hero shards, diamonds and gold. NEW — GOLDEN AND PLATINUM PASS More gold from everything you earn, diamonds on every perfect clear, free chests every day, and an extra key on every key level. NEW — HARD MODE COUNTS Hard has its own stars now, kept separate from your normal ones, and they feed the global leaderboard in their own right. NEW MONSTERS Fourteen new characters. Every boss is its own creature instead of a resized version of something else, and Space finally flies actual spacecraft. NEW — REBUILT STORE Four big categories instead of a row of small tabs. ALSO • Finishing a world now introduces the next one • Five daily quests instead of three, including one for your heroes • New sounds for moments that had none of their own • The difficulty curve accounts for heroes now, and from the Desert on every level except the key levels asks a little more FIXED • "Continue (Ad)" could leave the game frozen, or drop you back into a field that was never cleared • The level 2 hero lesson could not be finished • The tower bar showed a price one placement behind what you were actually charged • On iPad, five screens ran off the edge — including a purchase button

NEW — DAMAGE REPORT Every level now ends with a breakdown: which weapon dealt what share of the damage, how many of each you had standing, and what your Farms earned. Stop guessing which loadout is pulling its weight. NEW — MASTERY Maxed a weapon? Its upgrades no longer stop. Mastery keeps going with no cap: +2% damage a step, each step costing more than the last. Your gold finally has somewhere to go in the late game. NEW — SURVIVE, REBUILT The endless arena is now a hell map — cooled basalt roads with molten seams, bones and ash — and it is generated like every other map, so it gets the same road variety the campaign has. NEW LOOK Redesigned buttons and panels, brighter towers and spells, and painted key art on the main menu, map select, level select and the Armory. BALANCE • Forest 16 and 18, desert 36 and 38 tuned on player feedback • Winter 56 and every other crossroads level: enemies no longer roll extra speed AND extra armour together on a split road • Levels 71-100 climb again, now that Mastery gives you something to climb with • Winter's weapon ceiling raised to Lv18 MORE GOLD • Armory daily ad reward: 5 a day at 200 gold each, up from 3 at 100 • Starter Pack now also includes 5 Spell Refreshers FIXES • Boss levels could be unwinnable without an anti-air weapon. The air boss now costs lives instead of ending the level; only a ground boss escaping fails it. • The Survive clock ran while you were still placing towers, before you pressed Start. It now counts only time actually survived. • Screens could stack on top of each other, leaving buttons live behind the page you were looking at. • Damage numbers could freeze mid-air over the results screen and the wave draft.
