In addition to filtering for online users or users with photos, you can now filter for users verified by others. Profiles now open directly, when searched by name, to save you time. You can now remind yourself to reply by marking viewed messages as unread by swiping left on them. Premium users will enjoy an improved message search as well. New in this version we offer age verification in partnership with Yoti. This is required in some regions, but all users are strongly encouraged to get age verified. Bug fixes include @mention linking of profile names with underscores in chats, accessibility updates for VoiceOver, and various dependency updates.

Whappz is proud to launch Incognito Mode as a premium feature. Avoid unwanted attention while checking messages or browsing profiles by appearing offline to other users. A new typing indicator signals engagement and reduces uncertainty during your chats. We’ve also improved @mention and other links in chat history for faster sharing. You’ll see a new “Suggested” collection of recommended profiles we think you might like. To make browsing faster you can now clear search/filter results with a single tap. Lastly, you can now subscribe to email notifications for new messages and many other topics.

Fixed a bug that caused crashes when reloading the profiles grid

We’ve added a hosting option to profile fields. A new feature allows users to see their own sent and received verifications and unlocks. It is now possible to decline a received, or cancel a sent verification. The slider to filter by min and max have been improved. This update also includes various bug fixes and stability improvements.

Fixed a bug that caused repeated crashes when location was not authorized

We've added enhanced support for notifications, auto-saved drafts of new messages, and additional tappable items within chat text (including phone numbers, email addresses, and profile names). Search and filter results can now be cleared by tapping the informational header at the top of the screen. Finally, a new podcast has been added, along with more community resource articles.

We've completely re-designed the app to make searches easier, and messaging faster. New features include profile collections, featured events, travel plans, interest tags, and more. In-app notification preferences have been added so you get the updates you want, and not the ones you don’t. Event notifications have been moved to a dedicated page where you’ll see others going to, or interested in, the same events as you.
