The concept of Yoga 319 (originally a hot yoga studio) was born out of necessity for Rebecca personally; tired of travelling miles to find good hot yoga classes and with a background in wellbeing plus an entrepreneurial spirit she decided to bring hot yoga to her local town. Founder, Bex, builds creative sequences derived from yoga, but also draws on her experience as a fitness professional and her love of music & dance (strictly amateur!). The result is an engaging and challenging class with a great playlist that will work & mobilise the body, calm a frantic mind, and most importantly bring a smile to a world-weary face. Yoga 319 has a vast catalogue of over 100 videos conveniently categorised by the focus and vibe of the class, and there’s lots of good vibes here! Yoga 319 classes essentially focus on using bodyweight to build strength, mobility and balance, all anchored by the postures of more traditional yoga. Amongst other physical changes, you can look forward to a strengthened immune system, improved posture and increased longevity of life - but you won’t just live longer, you will live better. Joining Bex in the majority of the classes and videos is husband Daren aka ‘Dazza’ and students not only find the pair’s marital squabbles/chemistry entertaining but appreciate seeing yoga done by a ‘non-yogi’ & ‘real’ person. He is a man of few words but when asked his thoughts on the practice of yoga, he answers very simply, ‘Yoga… I genuinely think it’s the answer’.
