Atome MY - Buy Now Pay Later 12+

I was introduced to this app one day by a merchant after their terminal had network issue. I was sceptical at first, but after I downloaded it & saw how cheap things became without any catch, I ended purchasing more stuff (and it still didn’t break my bank) that day & I never look back. Since that fateful day, shopping has turned into something Strategic for me. Everytime I passed through any shops at any mall, I’d be looking over at their counter to see any sign of Atome. No Atome, no deal. THAT’S how much Atome has changed my shopping habit. I just wish they could be placed in many more physical shops at the mall. I’m even thinking to buy Samsung & iPhone & converted it. But sadly some Samsung flagship merchant didn’t know how to use this Atome. They just had to loose their business that day and I went to other store at a different mall. Please educate your merchant too, I was disappointed at one of them.

The concept is very good and appeals to me in buying a relatively expensive item and breaking down into 3 manageable interest free payment. I feel that 3 payment is the right amount if time needed for payment. Anything more such as 4 months and beyond could be a burden. Bought a TV from Prism in early August. The checkout was easy and instructions clear. Overall, an ideal experience. As for improvements, definitely need to bring on board more merchants. Ideally I’d like the Atome brand to be available in every high street retail and online. Hopefully the dev team will try to make it happen. Keep up the good work.

I’ve been using this app for quite some time now spending over 3k consistenly paid. However since this weekend I was out of town, I forgot to set my default payment to my preferred card. I was only given 1 notice today saying that my account has been blocked and I need to pay RM50 admin fee to unlock my account (this is a final payment for the order I made). Where’s the other notification? I should be notified through registered email too not only through texts. It says there I need to settle payment within 3 days or else there’s the admin fee but on the 3rd day itself I was charged and my account was locked. The charges levied not in 3 days but 2 days time. Nevermind that but the fee is very expensive compared to other financial institution’s interest. Misleading T&C, exorbitant charges and to think I’ve been a long time customer. Never again. Will pay all and will uninstall, review stars remain 1 (if I could give them 0, I would) as I do not see why they should be given more.
