Description
Belanjawanku App is a budget tracking app that aims to help you manage your finances, save more and spend less. Based on research by the Social Wellbeing Research Centre (SWRC), Belanjawanku takes into account the cost of living in the city where you live, your marital status, your stage of life, your mode of transport as well as other factors to generate the right budget for you.
Features in the app include:
1. Budget building based on SWRC’s research which provides recommendations on minimum monthly expenses and how much you need to set aside for savings.
2. Budget planning and monitoring – Keeps track of your monthly expenses and allows switching between two budget guides according to your preferences. You can choose between the Belanjawanku or the Rule of Thumb guide when you first set up, or change it any time in your profile.
3. Tips, guides and information on personal financial planning, financial management and much more.

The app is basically incorporating the budget into the expense tracker. So you have a cap for everything category, depending on which method you choose.
I would like to recommend for a shared function built into the app. Maybe for husband and wife to share their spending. And both can see each other's spending
Additional Function
The apps is easy no navigate and adjust accordingly. Suggestion to add is the day for "Pay Check Day". So that the spending can be sorted out starting from the day that we got the salary.
Good with room for improvement
Love that it’s tailored to Malaysian population, and the simple and clean UI. However the spending guide can be unrealistic (RM250 rent???) and rigid. Difficult to view expenses, past entries cannot be seen, cannot view expenses in its own category. There are plenty of room for improvement, but it’s a good app. Hope the developer will continue to work on this app.
