Review

Around 2015 grab use to give bonuses and offers. The service is good then though, the application need further development especially in areas of pickup and drop up point.

Now in 2020 grab no longer give bonuses. They only give points depending on the number of grabs using grab wallet.

Grab also give penalty which in my view is highly inefficient. Sometimes customers are charged 3 RM due to the drivers error of not able to locate the pickup point. The customer usually wait for the driver and after 5min, the driver will cancel and the customer will be charged RM 3. The driver claimed he or she has waited for 5 min but in reality, he or she could not locate the pickup point and the customer will be waiting hoping to see the grab driver. I see this to be unfair in the side of the customer. If grab can address this issue it will be nice because sometimes the penalty is cumulative. Meaning if the driver cancels 10 times, the customer will be charged 30RM. That is unfair.

Interns of lost items recovery grab is superb.

The application has a lot of improvements compared to the one in 2015, 2016, 2017 , 2018 , and 2019. But especially the pickup and drop up point the application need to be improved.

I have 5 years experience using grab and I can say a lot but I choose to stop here hopefully grab will address some of the issues that were raised.

Service is getting from bad to worst

Despite their marketing tactics as providing a much more streamlined and premium food delivery service, the quality of this company is getting from bad to worst. A couple months ago, I was delivered food that was still raw and uncooked. Following that, I’ve had multiple deliveries from restaurants that I’ve ordered from that came in in a very pathetic state. Items worth RM30 and above sometimes come in looking like some RM5 kind of meal. Despite the complaints there doesn’t seem to be a standard that Grab seems to upkeep. It is truly getting bad to worst as time goes on. Their customer service chat is also degrading. I honestly can’t recommend Grab services as of now. And this is coming from someone that has been using this app faithfully for over the past 3 years for their services. The notion of complaints should be about fixing things that are bad. Things just seem to be getting worst. It used to be every 10 orders, I’d find 1 that has an issue. Now it’s every 5 orders that I find an issue with 1. Having a good PR team to market this company does not make up for the sub par service of the company. I want to believe that they can do better, but as of late I cannot in any way recommend using Grab.

Friendly Features & Useful ‘Tool’

I’ve been using Grab for various purposes. From buying groceries, supplements, household items, meals, cakes, flower bouquets, phones accessories, kid’s toys and many more. The best part of this apps is, now it allows us to order from and to different locations (e.g. I’m in KL and made an order for family member’s birthday in Kuching). I don’t have to worry about not being able to provide good meals for my family in Kuching anymore. I see this apps is very useful during Covid19 pandemic. Another feature that I like is the tips for the delivery personnel (cashless transaction). Hope Grab will introduce better and greater rewards for its users too. Thank you.
