This app is overrated

I am a guest, after ive booked and make payment i verified my account. Suddenly airbnb locked me out of my own account and i cant contact customer service due to not being aboe to log into my account and they only have inbox chat support, i had to make a new unverified account to chat them and they said i violated rules because of two accounta when i just do the second account to get help. A lot of calls and live chat and they asked all the same questions and for hours, yet still no solution, still no help. As if they wanted to know what happened and then just leave it at that. And they keep telling me to do things that the app dont allow, for example, to connect my phone number to my new account but i cannot do that cause it was already connected to my old account that they locked. The customer support dont even know how this app works, totally waste of time even trying, after more than 12 hours of calling and chatting and emailing. Still no help or resolution, they just keep redirecting me to another person, asked same questions and leave it at that with no help. Totally disappointed in this app, hopefully someone else created a better app for host and guest.

If I could give it no star I would! Please update your extenuating circumstances policy and stop pushing the responsibility of a refund on the host! We’ve spent over tens of thousands in booking on a trip to Europe and with the pandemic things have been cancelled and the host is only giving us a refund if it gets rebooked? Who in their right mind would be traveling to France at this time?? Does Airbnb seriously think that traveling and tourism would resume back to normal by end of May?? We have already cancelled early in February when things is China were dire as we have guests from there and we are still waiting for the 50% refund. It is not like we are cancelling for fun. We have other guests from countries who will not even be able to travel and are on lockdown for 6 months. The wedding (whole reason for this trip) has also been postponed indefinitely and we are still being refused our refund because it is “up to the host” since the policy is has not been extended beyond May. It took four months for China to get things somewhat under control and even now it is still not entirely safe to travel! Airbnb has just lost another customer forever. I am sure I am not alone in this.

a reliable parties
i made a report to Airbnb upon a host accused me of taking toilet paper dan moking me for “being greedy over a small bargain”. its clearly violated airbnb policy. host didnt reach me out upon the missing item. i was not informed about anything in message and suddenly received bad review from host including insults. i request a removal and airbnb reply to not remove it because it didnt violate any rules. toilet supplies are disposable. running out of it should not be a subject for host to create a scene and insulting guests. honestly i didnt even realise the existence of toilet paper in the toilet because its not our culture thing and still i was mock for being cheap. next time i surely keeping every videos i recorded during checkout until host done reviewing so i could sue any parties for making false accusations without my knowledge and insulting guests. overall, airbnb support only supports their host not guests.
