We’d spend hours battling, trading, and just soaking in the excitement of the game. That time holds a special place in my heart — it was pure, simple, and full of joy.After that, life moved on. I never got the chance to play Pokémon TCG physically again — no decks, no playmates, and eventually, no time. Nearly two decades passed without touching a single card. But then… something changed.I saw my friend playing Pokémon TCG Pocket on his phone — and I was stunned. “Wait, this is on mobile now?!” That moment was surreal. Suddenly, the TCG world I thought I had left behind was right in front of me again, just a tap away.Sure, I had tried Pokémon TCG Live on PC before, but let’s be honest — it’s not the same. You need to be at your desk, turn on your computer, and sit through loading screens. It just doesn’t have the same magic. But TCG Pocket? This is different. It’s portable. It’s casual yet nostalgic. It brings the essence of the card game to your fingertips, whether you’re on the train, lying in bed, or waiting for your lunch.Pokémon TCG Pocket isn’t just a mobile game — it’s a time machine. I wrote a review when I first played, and it was removed somehow. It talked about adding a rank and report system to filter out experienced players from new players. After playing it for almost a month, the issue of lack of enjoyment arise. Unless you don't love yourself, this game is for you! The event is just as competitive as the corporate world. I play this game to relax, but meta deck players are making it hard to enjoy. The event is full of Celebi deck with no creativity at all. This makes it hard to try lesser known cards. The lesser known cards are either too weak or completely useless in a battle. The newer cards are just too over powered. A lot of things doesn't make sense. Please review the card's ability for consistency in your game. Otherwise, this is the typical game where newer cards are useful meanwhile older cards are completely useless. For instance, review Celebi ability with 2 energy that can deal up to 100 damage, where the amount of coin flips should based on the additional amount of energy (if you want to stay consistent). Review Florges because she's just too weak and her ability too underpowered for a third stage Pokémon. Review Misty because first round luck just defeats the purpose of the game. Review some passive that doesn't allow retreat, but allows you to retreat back to your hand with supporter cards like Koga (really? What's the team thinking). Review Koga because damage point should accumulate on the damaged card instead of coming back on deck fully healed. A lot of logic needed to fix the game, surely this game isn't thought up by a single person is it?

AI’s coin toss has way more chance of getting heads while the players chance are way less. This needs to change. If that is not possible, then let the players toss the coin each time instead of letting the system do it for us. I rarely flipped a head when playing Eevee yet the AI can get 6 consecutive heads when I’m going against them? Some Pokemon like my Celebi is too OP and needs to be nerfed, or limit the coin flip of such abilities to 4. Significantly boost the stats for none EX cards and introduce stronger none EX cards, so that players can build a solid deck without always relying on EX cards. Plus it would help the players to battle it out with EX cards if need be. Sometimes, some EX cards are so readily available in the early stages that it renders the remaining cards on both sides useless.Significantly increase the quality of loot drop when opening 10 packs for a chance of getting mid tier cards or a mid tier Pokemon to avoid players getting the same basic Pokemon repeatedly. In some cases like mine, I only got 3 new basic Pokemon out of the 10 packs and no special cards at all.Shorten the animation for the single pack and one card opening. I don’t need the full animation for a single Ratata card.Change the battle system to only allow a certain degree of players (overall card rating or power/player levels/number of wins) to be able to join certain battle difficulties to avoid veteran players going against newbies in the beginner category. It’s the same like how ranked match in MOBA games work.

I've been a loyal player of the Pokémon TCG Online game and even subscribed to a membership to enhance my experience. Over time, I've invested a significant amount of money into the game, hoping to build a competitive and satisfying card collection. However, my recent experience with the card draw system has left me deeply frustrated.Despite topping up multiple times and purchasing 10-packet bundles, I’ve consistently failed to pull any shining cards or the specific cards I truly want. The cards I do get are often duplicates of what I already have, offering no real value to improve my deck or gameplay. As someone who has spent both time and money on this platform, this feels incredibly disheartening.While I understand that card draws rely on chance, the system currently feels unbalanced for paying players. Investing real money should provide at least a slightly better chance of obtaining rare or desirable cards—otherwise, it diminishes the incentive to spend at all. It's disappointing to feel that my efforts and investments are not being fairly rewarded.I hope the developers consider improving the card draw system or adding features like guaranteed rare pulls after a certain number of draws. Such adjustments would not only make the game more enjoyable but also show appreciation for those of us who support it financially. Until then, it's hard to recommend investing heavily in this game.
