This update brings an even smoother OMusic experience. OMusic 2.0 brings a big batch of new features and fixes to iOS/macOS, plus brand-new support for CarPlay, Apple TV, and Apple Watch — a huge upgrade across the whole device ecosystem.
iOS / macOS:
- New (Free): A brand-new Apple Music mode — browse and search Apple Music content right inside the OMusic app, and play your recommendations and library content (requires an active Apple Music subscription). Some functionality is limited on Mac in this mode, and some OMusic features are limited overall while in this mode — thanks for your understanding.
- New (Free): All-new widgets! Now Playing, desktop lyrics, and listening stats widgets in multiple sizes, showing the current track's format and bitrate. Also available on Mac!
- New (Free): Listening Stats, with trend charts, top tracks, and a shareable poster — turn on iCloud sync in OMusic to merge stats across devices.
- New (Free): (Experimental) iCloud sync across devices — syncs your likes, playlists, metadata edits, and listening stats across devices; your music files are never uploaded.
- New (Plus): View and edit song/album metadata — lyrics editing (manual editing, fetch lyrics online, line-by-line timing, and word-by-word timing), custom cover art (upload your own, match online by title, or upload up to a 30-second video as an immersive Lock Screen cover), plus online matching for cover art, album, year, genre, and more.
- New (Plus): Immersive Lock Screen cover art (iPhone and iPad). Turn it on and OMusic automatically generates an immersive Lock Screen cover for every song. You can also set a custom immersive Lock Screen cover (up to 30 seconds) per song from the view/edit metadata menu.
- New (Plus): Adjustable lyrics text size on the lyrics page, with multiple size steps.
- New (Plus): Advanced Library Tools — you can add a local folder as a music source.
- New (Plus): Lyrics can now be shown on the Control Center / Lock Screen.
- New (Plus): Sleep Timer — stop playback automatically after a set time.
- New (Deluxe): Connect remote music sources — Navidrome/Subsonic and WebDAV; Navidrome sources support two-way favorites and playlist sync. More sources are coming.
- Improved: A major refactor and performance overhaul — enjoy a smoother OMusic!
- Improved: LAN sync playback across multiple devices is now more stable, and has moved into the Plus tier.
- Improved: Importing from your local music library no longer requires tapping each song individually — import everything in one tap.
- Improved: The playback-speed control on the lyrics page is now a slider, and can be hidden.
- Improved: Fixed a bug on iOS 27 where the bottom toolbar was hidden behind other UI in edit mode on several pages.
- Improved: On Mac, once auto-hide playback controls is enabled on the lyrics page, moving the mouse now brings the controls back.
- Improved: Fixed some bugs.
Apple Watch (Deluxe):
- OMusic is on Apple Watch! Choose between standalone playback on the watch or remote-controlling playback on your iPhone.
- Line-by-line lyrics and playback queue control; standalone playback mode on the Watch also supports word-by-word lyrics.
- Sync playlists, albums, and songs from your iPhone.
Apple TV (Deluxe):
- OMusic is on Apple TV! Stream and cache your library from your iPhone over the local network, and enjoy OMusic on the big screen. Also supports independent streaming from remote sources like Navidrome/WebDAV.
- Apple Music mode is available on TV too — browse, search, and play your Apple Music recommendations and library right from the OMusic app on TV.
- Control your TV from your iPhone — the iPhone shows the TV's live playback progress and lyrics, and can control playback. (Not available in Apple Music mode)
CarPlay (Deluxe)
- Brand-new CarPlay support — your connected car can browse your OMusic library and control playback directly.
- Had a bánh mì.
If you're enjoying OMusic, we'd love a kind review on App Store — thank you!
