The whole interface has been rebuilt: all five screens now share one glass material, the big number on Today uses a lighter typeface, and Timeline, Speakers and Insights are now individual cards instead of plain rows. Three state bugs are fixed too — the iPhone said "Not started" while the watch was recording, it kept saying "Sensing" after the watch stopped, and the sampling mode kept resetting itself to Standard or Power-saving. No features were added or removed.

If the watch app isn't installed yet, the iPhone now tells you where to get it, with a button that opens the Watch app directly. Before, this case just showed an empty screen — many assumed the app was broken. Nothing else changed.

More changed in this version than it looks. Three things you'll notice right away. [Interface: from colour block to glass] Cards used to be flat translucent blocks. They now use system material — the purple and green glow behind shows through, with a thin highlight along the top edge, like a sheet of glass floating above the surface. Corner radius went from 16 to 24, and padding widened with it, so text no longer hugs the edge. Motion, too: numbers like heart rate and clip count now roll instead of jumping, and your phone gives a soft tap when a new clip arrives. [Recording volume: the most substantial fix] The watch had been treating audio like a phone call. Call mode actively quietens voices from a distance — and a watch sits on your wrist, thirty or forty centimetres from your mouth, right inside that zone. That is why saved recordings were always quiet. It now records in plain record mode, with the level lifted before saving (and a ceiling so it never clips). It should sound normal now. [Japanese] Interface, permission prompts and the App Store page are all translated. Previously a Japanese system showed Chinese or English; now it is complete. Your voice is still never stored by default — unless you turn on Save audio.

New voice detection sensitivity — adjust how readily quiet speech is picked up. New Save audio — when on, each captured segment is also saved to your iPhone, where you can play, export, or delete it under Settings → Recordings. Off by default: text only, no audio kept. Fixed sensing stopping when the watch app moves to the background. Added Japanese.
