As lots of ‘sequel’ games go, this one is a disappointment too.Too much things was added, that one thing which made the game cool is lost: simplicity. The prev version: just select a level, it opens right away and you just need to shoot the birds. Voila! This AB2 game is almost annoying. Choose world, choose level, and before you enter that level a loading screen with “2” logo appears. You wait. Not long though, but still you wait. The level loads. But its empty first. Then the pigs and the place kinda builds up. You wait. Not long but still you need to wait. Then they show the birds available for that particular level as ‘cards’. And there is a number on top end of the cards, which initially kinda confusing as it is not the number of birds available, but its the bird ‘level’ (It seems you can upgrade the birds by collecting certain things eg feathers etc). Then if you do sufficient damage, a meter loads up and when full you get an extra card that is an extra bird. To make things worse, each level has ‘rooms’. You finish one room then another room appears, minimum two rooms and you only have the birds provided since the start. Oh, and the same level is not the same every time you play it, so if you fail on the first attempt hoping to plan better for the repeat, you cannot improve as the buildings and pigs loads up in different position. 🤦🏽♂️Besides, you start the game with only the red bird, as you play along you need to collect keys that you can use to unlock other birds. So that’s it.All in all, as I mentioned, despite all the upgrades, it has lost one thing that made it awesome: simplicity. I enjoyed AB1 and AB:Rio, and downloaded this to enjoy but unfortunately I was let down.
