Audios for Animations + More Brushes
emfung
I find Procreate somewhat decent for the amount of brushes it has and slightly confusing for new people who just got the app.The app itself was really great! I loved how you are able to animate on the app since this is the first app I've found that you're able to both draw and animate. However, I have only two suggestions that seems quite necessary personally for me.Being able to import audios into the app for animations would seem as a huge improvement and a lot more easier for animators to animate that requires listening to audios. Such as wanting to make a lip-syncing animation. There are multiple sets of brushes you can use. Sadly however, when I went to look over into each of those sets, there weren't really that much of brushes. It would really be appreciative if you kindly added more brushes for people to choose instead of having to create their own brush. I personally find it difficult to create one. From what I just said, I feel like adding audios for animations seems like a great idea as I very much needed it. Thank you.

Hey emfung - Thank you for reaching out with your feedback and suggestions. We always make a conscious effort to add more brushes with future updates, so keep your eye out for any new versions popping up on App Store. If you would like more brushes now, there are many talented brush makers that share their work at our Resources (https://folio.procreate.art/discussions/10) and Marketplace boards (https://folio.procreate.art/discussions/12). Audio support for Animation Assist is currently not planned as we're concentrating to strengthen Procreate as an illustration app. :)
Gif export causes a mild corruption/ glitch
ET5668
I love using procreate for the illustration features and the ability to create gifs, but sometimes the procreate gif function causes weird crashes in procreate. Everytime I export my gif, I always have to manually close and reopen my procreate because the export causes the art inside the animation assist frames to be invisible and unable to draw on. And also while using the export a while ago it caused my Ipad to restart. The app is good though because even with these crashes the artwork I make will still remain and is automatically saved for me. I hope the export function for gif will be fixed eventually
Developer Response
Hey ET5668 - thank you for the review of Procreate. This is actually related to a known issue, and we may be able to help out. Try instead of sharing from within the canvas, sharing from the Gallery instead. Swipe left on a canvas, tap Share, then scroll down until you see the Animated options here. If you use these ones, it should prevent that nasty crash until we can squash this bug.
Best app to work on iPad, almost perfect.
Quatro09
I’ve been using Procreate for almost all of my drawing. And my drawings has improved over the years. It is, by far the best app you want to have in your iPad that suits the draw-on-the-go lifestyle. The developer keeps on improving the app and new features are always introduced. Which is good. The only feature that I think is lacking is that the color picker was not able to select the current layer only. Being able to color pick just a layer helps a lot in creating light effects. For now, if you want to pick the original color of a layer that has multiply settings for example, you’d need to scroll and change the setting back to normal, and change the opacity back to 100% before color picking it, and the add those settings to your layer again before you can apply the color.I find that area is very troublesome for me and it takes too much time for me to finish my work.I hope the eye picker will have this option in future updates. Thank you.

Hi Quatro09 - Thank you for your kind words! It's so great to hear that Procreate has helped you with improving your art. It's great to hear what you would like to see added to Procreate too. This is something we can keep in mind as we move forward. :)
OK. We went too far. This update sharpens the corners of your Gallery thumbnails. It also calms down the height of Animation and Page Assist and fixes an issue in 3D painting where you couldn't import meshes without normals.
Remember that all your custom brushes are available in the Classic Library by pinching the brush panel, or tapping the Procreate Library title.
