Eremite helps you play tabletop roleplaying games solo, keeping your oracle, dice, tables, maps, and journal in one place, ready at the table or on the couch.
In solo play you're both the player and the GM. Instead of having the story told to you by someone, you create it by asking questions to the Oracle, rolling on random tables and using the various tools Eremite provides you with.
Features:
PLAY
- Oracle: yes/no answers to your questions, weighted by how likely they are
- Dice roller: tap a die, or type any expression (like "2d6 + 1")
- Random tables: create your own tables, either simple one-dimensional ones, or composed from multiple tables
- Trackers: progress tracks, doom dice, a turn tracker, PbtA moves, and campaign notes
JOURNAL
- Every random table rolls, oracle answers and results of various tools are logged automatically
- Add your own entries: typed, handwritten with Apple Pencil (or your finger :)), or as voice memos you can transcribe
- Export your journal as Markdown with all contained images and audio
HEX MAPS
- Paint hand drawn OSR-style terrain
- Add notes to any hex
- Place and move tokens for your party, monsters, and various points of interest
- Make annotations or enhance your map with sketches using Apple Pencil
- Send a snapshot of the map to your journal
SKETCHING
- A freeform board for dungeon sketches, mood boards, and visual notes
- Add images, text notes, and tokens
- Ink with Apple Pencil over a reference grid which you can adjust to your preferences
- Turn the whole board or a part of it into a journal entry
CHARACTERS
- Character sheet templates for many popular TTRPG systems, or build your own
- Import an existing sheet from a PDF or image and write on it with Apple Pencil
TABLES
- Build random tables row by row, or paste them in as text
- Choose which tables belong to each campaign
