USSD code/deduction/interest

I have 3 star against 5 because;
-it still lacks mobile network recharge options. I have to use a different app to buy data where they withdraw from my bank.
-I can’t always access it with data. There should be USSD codes for mobile banking. This is the most important aspect. Supposing I get stranded and can’t access data connectivity,....?
-I notice that 50naira is often deducted from my account as against the no-charge policy. If there should be a deduction, I ought to be sent a debit note and purpose or reason for the debit. This one has been on for months now. I get 50 deducted often. And I don’t even know how timely or the basis
-4% and some fractions were stated to be the interest rate for savings. I haven’t gotten any interest from my savings for about 6months I’ve been using this bank

Besides these. Everything else is very nice. I like the speedy delivery of cards and easy access to customer care (without network charges). I also like every other options on ground, especially transactions charge free and the likes.

This app leaves a lot to be desired.

I really cannot understand how a bank app can be so poor. Especially in Nigeria where most banks strive to improve the app experience of their customers everyday. Here are a few of the issues:

1. Cumbersome log in process: Most times I log into the app, I have to be re-registered for my SC mobile key. I don’t know how this can happen almost every single time I use the app. I have to wait for an OTP to be sent to me to access my app.
2. No airtime or data purchase option: You cannot buy airtime and data on the app. It’s either the bank just doesn’t care about this, or they’ve hidden that feature.
3. Inability to send very specific amounts: Did you know that you can’t send amounts with decimal fractions on the SC app? I didn’t either! The first time I discovered this was when I wanted to pay for a flight ticket using the bank transfer option. For these transactions, the amount you have to send is very specific as this allows the airline’s payment system to recognize your payment. Any deviation from the amount to be paid (down to the last Kobo) renders your purchase invalid. You can imagine my frustration when I had to move funds from my SC account to another bank to make this payment and I was then faced with the challenge I raised in point 1.

Big NO

If is possible for me to give -100 star rate I would. I have never been this stressed out before just because I want to open an account in a bank. I opened an account on the 13th of April and I didn’t get my account number until 25th of April but I didn’t complain, okay let me upgrade my account the application kept on repeating that I had a pending application so I call the customer care line only to be told to wait for 48hrs before the problem would be rectified after 48hrs I noticed noting had been done to the account and I called back again only to be told that I have to uninstall the app wait for another 48hrs before installing the app before the issue will be rectified. Please what kind of services are you giving your customers if you stress them so much this is not nice at all. For your bank it’s a big NO for me.
