As mentioned in the release notes, version 1.6.5 is required to use the native magnifier. This causes extra clicks in the flow of getting a simple hex code from a color.
Broken under OSX Catalina

Used to be a quick and handy tool until OSX Catalina broke it. The tool closes its own windows and makes something as simple as picking a color cumbersome. Since this hasn't been fixed for over half a year I'll be looking for another app.

I have been using this app for a long time now, it has a very easy and clean interface. Gets you the color you want in Hex or RGB, gives you the option to edit or save colors as well. Exactly what I need when working in Photoshop or Illustrator.
